The next day, Reign woke up feeling so down. She had slept late last night thinking about how she and Ares had argued and also about what Reynolds had told her. She felt bad for talking to Ares like that when she knew nothing about him and what he had been through.
"I'm such an idiot!" Reign groaned into her pillow.
"What did you do this time?" Reign turned to the voice with a shriek.
"How did you get in here, Anna?" Anna walked up to her.
"I just came in when you were having your mental breakdown. So tell me what's wrong. Jess told me that your seduction didn't go as planned. Is that why you're having a mental breakdown?" Reign shook her head with a sigh.
"I made Ares angry yesterday because of how inconsiderate I was of his feelings but that's how any rational person who doesn't know what he has gone through will react" Anna nodded.
"Alright, tell me exactly what happened, maybe I'll be able to advise you" Then Reign told her everything including Ares' harsh attitude towards Diana.
"It seems to me that his highness and Her highness Have something against each other so you shouldn't have meddled in something you have no idea about" Reign frowned.
"So what do I do? How do I make things right?" Anna smiled.
"How are you so sure he's mad at you? Did he say that?" Reign shook her head.
"But with the way he stormed off, he looked mad. Maybe I should just go to his room and…." Just then, there was a knock on her door, interrupting her words.
Anna walked towards the door and opened it. Her eyes widened as soon as she saw who it was.
"Oh your highness" Anna greeted as she bowed her head at him. He nodded at her then side stepped her and walked into the room.
Reign was already up on her feet as she stared at him walk in with wide eyes.
"What…. What are you doing here?" The expression on his face gave nothing away. She couldn't tell if he was mad or not.
"Get dressed and meet outside, I'll be waiting in the carriage" Reign furrowed her eyebrows.
"Yeah but where are we….." He had already walked out of the room before she could complete her sentence. She sighed as she glanced at Anna who had a bright smile on her face.
"You see? I told you he wasn't mad" Reign wasn't so sure about that. Ares wasn't usually that hostile towards her unless something was wrong.

After bathing and getting dressed with the help of Anna, she immediately went down to meet Ares.
"Going somewhere?" She halted in her steps as she spotted Reynolds walking towards her. She bowed her head at him.
"Your high….."
"What did I tell you last night?" Reign smiled.
"Oh… hey Reynolds" He smiled.
"You're the reason a carriage is packed right out the castle?" Reign eyes widened. Ares had told her to hurry.
"Yes, his Highness is taking me somewhere and I really need to hurry, bye your…. Reynolds" Then she immediately walked away without turning back. She didn't want to make Ares angrier than he was already.
The coachman opened the carriage door for her and with his help, she climbed into the carriage and sat down opposite Ares who was sitting crossed legged with a book in his hand.
She stared at him for a while not knowing if she should apologize for last night or if he was even going to listen.
The carriage started immediately and they rode out of the castle grounds in total silence and Reign hated it. She stared at him with a pout as he continued reading his book.
"Are you going to continue staring at me like that?" Ares suddenly said as he dropped the book beside him.
"I just wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday," Ares nodded.
"Go on," Reign sighed.
"I shouldn't have judged your actions before knowing why you acted that way. I'm sorry for not taking your side and for saying mean things to you" Ares chuckled.
"You didn't say anything mean" Reign shook her head.
"Still, I should have taken your side and tried to understand your point of view. I'm sorry for judging you too quickly, can we start over?" Ares stared at her for a while then smiled and nodded.
"Sure we…." Reign flung herself into his arms and hugged him tightly.
"I thought you won't want to be my friend anymore, I was so worried" After this incident, she realized that she loved Ares' company and didn't want that to change. Plus, she didn't want him hating her, she wanted him to fall in love with her.
"Who are you calling your friend?" Ares muttered without hugging her back. She pulled away from him with a frown.
"Aren't we…. Aren't we friends?" Ares shook his head.
"You are going to be my wife soon. Friends? No, lovers? Yes" Reign furrowed her eyebrows.
"But you and I aren't in love with one another or are you in love with me?" Ares scoffed.
"If anyone is falling in love with anyone, it would be you falling in love with me. That is, if you haven't already" Reign shook her head.
"I haven't " Ares scoffed.
"Well sooner or later? You will" Reign raised an eyebrow.
"How are you so sure I'll fall in line with you? Can't you fall in love with me?" He stared at her face for a while then Reign suddenly felt self conscious when his eyes shifted to hers. They stared into each other's eyes for a while till Ares cleared his throat and looked away.
"I have somewhere I want to take you" Reign stared at him curiously.
"Where? Are we going sightseeing?" Ares shook his head.
"Not really but it is a sight but we are not there to see it" Reign didn't understand but she did not ask anymore questions.

"Wow! This place is so beautiful" All Reign could say was Mother Nature really was powerful. They were on top of a high mountain that overlooked a beautiful small island with trees and a beautiful waterfall.
"Why haven't I ever heard of somewhere like here before? It's so beautiful" She turned to him with a smile but immediately frowned when she noticed he seemed to be deep in thought. His silver eyes looked extremely troubled; it sent shivers down her spine.
"What's the problem, Ares? Did something happen?" He then turned to her with a frown.
"This was where my mother was murdered"….
