"Wake up, Reign. You have to get ready" Reign woke up with a start as soon as she heard Isabella's voice. She sat up from the bed and saw Isabella placing some gowns on the bed.
"What's going on?"
"Don't ask stupid questions, Reign. Anna? Run a bath for Reign and help her bath. Make sure you get all the stink out of her '' Anna nodded then took a hold of Reign's hand and led her into Isabella's room.
"What are we doing here?" Anna led her into the bathroom.
"I can't believe you're getting betrothed to a prince" Anna said as she helped Reign into the bath. Reign sighed.
"Don't overthink it, Anna. He's not a good person, he won't be my knight in shining armor" Anna rolled her eyes.
"You really shouldn't judge someone without meeting them, Reign. Who knows, the rumors might be fake and he might actually be a good person" Reign sighed. She was too nervous to reply. Her life was about to change and she didn't know if it was for better or worse?
After Reign had her bath, Isabella handed Anna and Jess a baby blue gown with a very tight corset. It was the most luxurious gown Reign had ever seen and it looked expensive.
"Help her into it, let's hope she can fit into it" Anna subtly rolled her eyes. Reign was obviously smaller than Isabella so it was really easy to help Reign into the gown.
"Wow, it fits you perfectly, Reign" Anna murmured and Jess nodded in agreement.
"Although, everything always looks good on her," Isabella huffed.
"Well, it looks better on me. Make her look as lavish as me and I know it's going to be hard but you have to try your best. She has to be beautiful" Then she walked out of the room.
"She has to be beautiful" Jess mocked while Anna laughed.
"Reign is already the most beautiful lady in our Kingdom but today, your beauty is outstanding. All this clothes and Jewelry looks like they were made for you" Reign almost scoffed. That was because they were meant for her.
After Anna and Jess were done dressing her up, they made her stand in front of the mirror with her eyes closed.
"Alright, now you can open your eyes" Reign slowly opened her eyes and she gasped. She has never seen herself looking so…. Majestic. Anna hadn't done any full makeup on her face but only put on some lipstick and Blush which went great with a rosy skin. Reign stared at her hairstyles.
"What is this hairstyle called, Jess?" Jess smiled.
"It's a princess braid for a princess like you. I decided to let those two strands of hair fall on your face so it could frame your face and bring out your blue eyes. Also, I curled the tip of your hair" Reign smiled.
"It looks beautiful, thank you so much. You guys did a great job"
"Anything for you Reign, i know the Prince won't be able to keep his eyes off you after he sees you like this" Reign rolled her eyes at Anna.
"Can you cut that out?" Anna giggled.
"Alright" Jess knelt before her and helped her wear the shoes Isabella had given her.
"This is so beautiful. I can't believe Isabella gave you all these" Reign nodded. She couldn't believe it either.
After they were done, Anna placed a blue diamond encrusted little tiara on Reign's head then smiled.
"You are ready" Reign took a deep breath then nodded.
"Let's go then" Jess and Anna held one of her hands as they walked downstairs.
Isabella immediately rushed up to her as soon as he saw her.
"Eh, you look fairly alright. Now come on, the royal carriage will be here in some minutes. Remember, you are Isabella Wright. Do not mess it up, alright? If you do, I'll make sure to blame everything on you, alright?" Reign nodded.
Just then, Jacob walked towards them with a frown.
"I thought I said I was going to decide?" Isabella sighed.
"Dad, the royal carriage is probably on their way now. Do you know how long it took to get her ready? Just let her do it, I won't marry that prince" Jacob sighed and was about to say something when they all heard a knock on the door. Hilda immediately went to open and revealed the man who came over yesterday.
"Good day, Sir.. Please come in" The man nodded then walked into the house.
Linda and Jacob immediately walked up to him.
"I assume you're here for my daughter?" Jacob questioned and the man nodded then his eyes immediately drifted off to Reign who could get anyone's attention from a mile away.
"And she seems to be ready" Isabella frowned at the fact that the man didn't even notice her but she immediately shrugged it off.
"Do we need to come with her? Does she need any luggages?" Linda questioned. The man shook his head.
"The King will send for you when his son has finally signed the agreement but for now, I just need to take her back with me because the prince would like to meet her and no, she doesn't need any luggages. Everything will be provided for her" Linda nodded slowly with a frown. She didn't like that this wretched girl was getting married to a prince and not her daughter but Isabella was very stubborn and would never change her mind on anything.
"We would take our leave now, the prince would like to meet her before he leaves for a meeting" Linda and Jacob nodded.
"Very well, I wanted her to take her maids with her if that's possible. She's new there and would probably need a familiar face to keep her sane" The man shook his head.
"I'm afraid there's already enough maids in the palace and the King wouldn't want to add anymore but rest assured that I would ask him and get back to you" Reign eyes widened at the man's word then she glanced at Anna and Jess who seemed to feel the same way she did.
Suddenly, she felt so scared and Nervous to go alone. Was everything going to go the way she wanted?
The man took a hold of her hand as he led her to the carriage. She gasped as soon as she saw how grand and big it was. The coachman opened the door for them and the man helped her climb in. Reign carefully took her seat on the firm yet soft seats of the carriage. This was the first time she was entering one of these things.
"Won't you like to say goodbye to your parents?" Reign turned to the man then turned to stare at Jacob, Linda and Isabella. She ignored them and instead, waved a goodbye at Hilda, Anna and Jess.
"Let's go" The man nodded and the carriage immediately began to move. Reign was scared at first but after some minutes, she finally relaxed and rested her back on the backrest.
"You can call me Sir Williams and I'll be your guardian in the palace" Reign turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
"Why would I need a guardian?" The man stared at her for a while then sighed.
"Since you're going to be part of the royal family soon then I guess you should know. There are a lot of…. Problems going on in the palace and if you don't want to be a part of that then I suggest you mind your own business. If you need anything, come to me and I'll try my best to help you. You will be given maids, Clothes, Jewelry, everything you want or need and whatever you see in the palace, stays in the palace, got it?" Reign suddenly felt scared. She wrung her fingers as she gulped. What was she getting herself into?
As if noticing her discomfort, Williams laughed to ease the tension.
"Nothing is ever going to happen to you as long as you mind your business. Your only focus should be the second prince and I know what you have heard about him isn't good but if you're good to him then you'll never have any problems with him. He's not as evil as everyone makes him out to be, trust me, I'm one of those who knows the true him and hopefully, you would soon" Reign sighed. Why did that seem so unlikely?....
