"Surprise!!!" Dionne exclaimed and hugged her mum when the entrance door opened. She felt her freeze and she held her shoulders to look into her eyes, "Are you not happy to see me or are you too stunned to move?"
"When did you get here?"
"And when did you start keeping secrets from me?" Mr. McCurry came out of nowhere and asked.
"Secrets? What secrets? I don't keep secrets from you," Dionne's mother's eyes darted from her daughter to her husband, unaware that her husband knew everything already.
"Dad already knows the truth mum, no need to cover up for me anymore," Dionne smiled.
"Wait...what? How? Did you tell him?" Mrs. McCurry looked at her husband in embarrassment.
"So you didn't want me to know, huh? I feel so left out," Mrs. McCurry's heart rate normalized when she realized her husband wasn't angry at her or Dionne.
