"You look so beautiful!" The makeup artist assigned to work on Dionne's makeup squealed.
"I know," Dionne replied haughtily but she didn't forget to smile back at the gay-ish makeup artist who had his hands clasped together as he looked at her in utter adoration.
She liked what she saw in the mirror. She looked beautiful. The makeup was done perfectly. Dionne was not looking forward to this party– she never was, but seeing how beautiful she looked, she was already anticipating all the attention.
The makeup artist chose a simple but intense makeup look with emphasis on the eyes. A smoky red eye shadow with bold winged eyeliner. He used a highlighter to make her cheekbones more defined, and crowned it all with transparent lipstick. The designs he did on the eyes were spectacular and Dionne couldn't stop looking at the image of herself in the mirror.
