After Caitlyn finished cleaning her eyes, she sniffed a couple of times, she stared at the plants inside the therapist's offices. The sound of the wall clock filled the room as they remained silent, till Marie broke the silence.
"Can we move on?" She asked and they both nodded.
"After Caitlyn's mother gave you a choice, how did that make you feel?" Marie asked gently.
"It made me feel low, and I was extremely upset. I traveled back to San Francisco that very day, which means I spent almost 20 hours on the road without rest. But I loved Caitlyn, so I declined the offer and I kept my distance from her parents. I graduated and got a job, had a family, and cleared my college debt," He responded and smiled.
"Was Caitlyn's father also involved in the offer?"
"I don't know, I met with Aimée at the school she taught at and Victor wasn't there. I didn't ask him and I'm not going to do that now since we've somehow reconciled," Richard explained.
