They walked into the sitting room and Caitlyn sat on a basket chair that was nearer to the entrance of the house. She felt safer at that place, if anything happened that needed her to run, she felt she would just jump from the chair and run to the door. But she doubted she would be able to run away from the two hefty men, if she needed to do that.
"Here it is," Colt said and Caitlyn jumped on the chair. She was in deep thought and Colt's words interrupted her thoughts. She looked up and saw him holding a tray that had three mugs on it. Steam was coming from the mugs, Caitlyn carefully picked a mug and sipped a little from it. Her apprehension prevented her from drinking much of the tea. She felt that she needed to stay alert. She gently put the mug on a carved stool beside the basket chair.
