"I thought you were asleep, just decided to try one more time. Thank goodness you picked the call. I've not been myself, the fight we had is making me feel really bad and I'm sorry I didn't tell you about wanting to travel for work," Richard said. Caitlyn closed her eyes and tried to push away the guilt that had enveloped her heart.
"Hey," She responded and didn't know what else to say. The image of her having sex with Carter kept coming to her mind. She could hear Richard's breath and wondered whether a woman was stroking him on the bed. Or a man?
"Caitlyn, are you still there?" Richard asked and Caitlyn drew in a shaky breath.
"Yes, I am," She replied.
