Candy noticed how pale Detective Glene looked. She stood and went to the bathroom and she came back with a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
"I know that you smoke, take this and you will get better," Candy said as Detective Glene took the cigarette pack. He removed one and lit it. He took a deep puff. Candy also took one and passed it to Mia. The whole room was soon filled with smoke.
"I know what's on your mind, you're likely regretting coming here and getting involved with this. But even if you didn't come, I would have found you and dragged you into it. Moreover, I'm making your job easier, now you have a full report to give your client or whoever employed you," Candy said.
"Yes, yes, it's still insane," Detective Glene murmured.
