"I wasn't playing the victim," Caitlyn finally responded. She had never thought that she would be in that position, trying to justify her action.
"Then what the heck were you doing with that guy?" Detective Glene asked and sighed exasperatedly.
"I paid you to investigate my husband's suspicious meeting trip and not to tail my every movement. If you are having a righteous fist now, then get off the case and leave me the fuck alone. I will employ another private investigator, who won't be questioning who the hell I'm fucking!" Caitlyn said and Detective Glene shook his head and focused on the road. They remained silent till they got to Caitlyn's house.
