It didn't take long for Nicole to notice the absence of his brother and Audra. Everyone gasped watching the shield rise in the sky. The arrows had stopped falling on the ground. But they still collided with Audra's shield. He gripped his sword, throwing off the cape he wore, handing his crown to the butler. HE had seen the blood on her arm.
Nicole had worked with Vanessa before. They had looked out for each other before and had been the ones to save Audra as well. The two people that had once sat in the corridor trying to bring Audra to consciousness were gone. These were two completely different people. Looking at each other as a threat.
The second Nicole stepped in the ground he was in trance. He didn't even turn to look at Audra; he marched straight at Vanessa. The guards, realizing arrows had stopped and the new king was on the ground, rushed to where he was surrounding Vanessa and Marcello.
