Chapter 71 - Shadows

"They are here" that's all Vanessa said before diving inside the lake without even a second thought as she noticed the tremor going through the water. She didn't have to look behind her to know that the loud flapping noise coming from above her were the dragons flapping up in the air ready to reach them. They weren't many in numbers to fight the rebellion that was to reach them. Either their numbers would easily hide them or it would be the end of it. She could only hope it was not the latter as she let herself adjust to the water, her eyes glowing deep blue. The transformations began taking place, scales appearing on her porcelain white skin. Her hands turned into claws and within a heartbeat she wasn't a human anymore but she was a dragon now swimming effortlessly through the waves that crashed into her.
