Chapter 68 - Curse

"You want me to push you?" Nicole whispered in her ear from behind and she elbowed him in the  stomach and he pretended to be hurt.  Audra could see their reflection on the surface o f the glimmering lake. She was dressed in black tunic and black tights, her hair pulled up in a bun. A light belt buckled around her waist with a small plain dagger fitted inside it. The dagger reminded her of the time when the Ice palace was on fire and she had used Nicole's dagger to escape, but she never found that dagger again. Nicole stood behind her dressed in his armor, a hand on the handle of his sword hanging from his side. The sheath studded in jewels.. She could almost imagine him in the other world as some sort of Mafia boss wearing black tops and boots, his eyes covered in sunglasses, a gun at his belt, and an arrogant smile playing. Oh he would quit the character well. A small smile for the first time of the day played on her lips.
