"I can't even sleep in peace here" a breathy voice echoed in her head and she silenced.
The voice startled her and she stood up scared. She had already searched before and had found no one. She stood up once again assessing her surroundings. What she found off was that the voice was in her head she hadn't heard it.
"I haven't seen you here before. Who are you?" someone again shrieked in her head and it felt like million whistles ringing in her ear. She swiveled around clasping her hands around her ear yet the ringing continued.
The leaves rustled behind her she paused staring at it but no one appeared.
"Show yourself" she demanded. She picked a stray branch from the ground and took stance ready to pounce if attacked.
"You can't fight me" the voice echoed again.
"Show yourself first" she challenged. She could almost hear her heart drumming against her chest furiously.
"you are not brave enough to face me" the voice calmed unlike the shrill before.
"I won't run" she promised and for a second she thought she was seriously sick to be hallucinating voices.
"You are not hallucinating." The voice confirmed. The sound of leaves crunching emerged and the ground beneath her vibrated slightly. The voice in her head silenced.
Audra gasped taking a cautious step back her grandfather's conversation replaying in her head. "it's a dragon world" Her back hit the tree and she tightly clutched the tree branch behind her.
It was a beast standing between the trees. If Jurassic world really existed, then she was here right now. It was a like a giant dinosaur. Green scales covered its entire form. Huge spikes emerged from the middle of its form red and blue merging together. His face was extremely close to Audra. She could feel its hot breath on her. But Audra wasn't looking at any of that she stared in its eyes. They were deep green but unlike hues of golden like Marcello's they had shades of blue in it. "I knew you would be scared" the dragon remained frozen but she heard its voice in her head.
"I didn't run" this time she only thought of it instead of saying aloud. A low ruffle sounded from the dragon and she knew he could hear her thoughts.
"Where are you from?" She could feel the dragon's eyes boring into her.
"How do you know I am not from here?" she quirked up her eyebrows remaining silent continuing the staring contest with the dragon.
"You are seeing a dragon for the first time" The dragon tilted its head assessing her. "And you are in the dragon world"
"I don't know where I am from either" she wasn't sure if she should expose herself or not and that too to a dragon.
"How did you get here?" the dragon questioned again.
"I got caught into a situation" she had no idea either how she came here. "I don't know how to go back. Why are you here?"
"I am injured" he replied. The dragon groaned slightly and she saw his perfectly smooth and clawed at the end wings rising. She gasped seeing a large cut bleeding on its thick skin from where it was hurt.
"How did this happen?" the thought appeared in her head before she could even stop herself.
"I was in a fight" its reply appeared in her head after a while. She slowly walked towards it until she was right beside it. Her hand touched the rough surface near its wing.
The dragon moved back grumbling. "what are you doing?"
"I won't hurt I promise" she promised again.
The dragon again raised its wing his eyes looking closely at her ready to hurt her if she did something to him. She carefully neared her finger where it bled and yellow sparkles appeared floating around the dragon's skin and her finger as soon as she touched the injured area the blood vanished and the cut closed itself. She stared in horror and awe as the cut healed itself she quickly retracted her hand scare of what she had done. There was no sign of injury on its skin except some marks of blood that were on her hand too from where she had touched.
"What did you do?" The voice was a whisper this time.
"I don't know either" she gulped staring at her hand.
"You healed me" as if the dragon had realized it explained to her as well.
She looked back at the dragon unsure what to say.
"What's your name?" the voice echoed in her head the same moment she thought of the question and she found herself smiling.
Footsteps sounded nearby and she looked behind her. "Audra" the voice called out and she quickly recognized Marcello
"I'll tell you my name after I take you with me" the voice in her head turned to shrill again.
"What do you mean?" she spoke aloud this time but before she could get her answer her leg was pulled and she toppled down she looked at her feet to see they were entwined by a green vine growing around her feet and the dragon's claw came from between the trees grabbing hold of the vine.
"what are you doing?" She shrieked pulling at the vine on her feet.
"Audra" Marcello's voice called gain.
"I am here" she responded loud as she was being dragged the vine growing more around her now reaching her waist. A pink flower began to bloom on the vine it grew bigger till it reached face now. The fragrance of the flower was too strong for her.
"Marcello" she screamed her head dizzying. The second time when she called him her voice was barely above a whisper and the trees above her blurred into nothingness.
Gasping for air Audra sat up taking in huge gulps of air as if someone had cut off her air supply. She looked around to see she was in a different room than the one given to her. This room was bigger more luxurious covered in red and golden decorations. She looked down at herself to see she wasn't in the dress from before someone had changed her into simpler grey colored shirt and a trouser.
"You are finally awake" one of the ladies stood by her bed spoke aloud.
"Where am I?" she questioned.
"In the palace" She stated as if obvious.
Audra felt like all that had happened was a dream. She looked down at her finger and there was still a mark of blood proving her that none of it was a dream.
"Whose palace" Audra demanded from her praying silently she wasn't kidnapped by that dragon she cursed herself for had helping him. She seemed to have been making wrong choices ever since she came here and it had only been….
"How long have I been unconscious for?" she questioned again before the lady could answer.
"for few hours it's almost night time now the king would be visiting you soon" She replied as if she had learned her lines.
"Which king?" asking again she took in a deep breath annoyed at the woman's nonchalance.
"King Harrison" the woman replied and as if on cue the door opened and her grandfather emerged Marcello a step behind him and the three princes tailing behind them they entered the room.
She leaped at the sight of Ian his head hanging low but before she could reach him Marcelo held her hands.
"Was it fun torturing me like this?" she screamed at him struggling in Marcelo's hold and ignoring the king's presence.
"Were you the dragon too? I only helped why did you have to hurt me" she questioned trying to figure out who the dragon was.
"Dragon?" Ian finally looked up at her. "You were the one who knocked me out with lake water and then I don't know what happened"
"Don't pretend to be so innocent" she spat at him "then who was that dragon?"
"You met a dragon?" and everyone else silenced as the King spoke.
"Yes, after I ran from Ian into the forest there was a dragon there it asked me where I was from and I said I don't know then when I asked it said that it was injured…." before she could continue Karl broke in.
"you said you ran from Ian and then met the dragon how could the dragon be Ian" he assembled her thoughts for her.
"Didn't you see a dragon when you came to help me?" she looked up at Marcelo clearly remembering his voice in the forest.
"You were unconscious in the forest and Ian unconscious by the waterfall." Marcello replied looking at the king avoiding her stare.
"Maybe you saw it in a dream" Lucio suggested.
"Why would I lie about it look I even have his blood on my hand from where it was injured" she put up her hand to show.
"There's nothing there" Lucio replied.
She looked down at her own hands and the stain was gone.
"but…."
"Maybe we should leave you to rest" King announced leaving the room but she wasn't looking at the king she was assessing Marcelo.
