When Jody got home, she immediately went to see Glendir. Jody was still wearing the same clothes and carrying the bag and books she had left on the couch in Glendir's room. She frowned and went up to Glendir, lying on the bed. He seems weak. As she went inside, Gustav came out. Zev let her see Glendir, and then he went straight to his room.
"Uncle, why are you lying down? Are you sick?" asked Jody. She could feel Glendir's weakness, but she pretended not to know.
Glendir smiled. "Why do you ask a question like that? Lying down doesn't mean I'm sick. It's just that… I am much more comfortable with this position than sitting or standing."
"Haist, uncle, there's no doubt that Zev is your son. You're both stubborn." Jody said, laughing.
Glendir laughed. "I will eat here, uncle. I'll join you and Zev, and you can't say no..." said Jody. She knew that the older man enjoyed eating when she was with him.
