Flashback
Elizabeta's POV
Antony gave me a parchment today. He told me to meet him at the stone gazebo near the lake of Posi. I'am so excited to see him, we've been stealing glances at each other while I've been doing my public rituals while he also carts in the wheat from the wheat farm.
But today while I was doing my private rituals in the temple of Hekate, Antony was also there cleaning.
Just as I finished and began to walk out, a hand grab my wrist and pulled me behind a pillar as I gasped. The fact that I didn't know who grabbed me scared me more.
Once I was pulled behind the pillar I looked up to see my attacker but it was Antony smiling down at me chuckling while his body is pushed up against mine.
"Did I scare you my love." Antony chuckles while I glare up at him.
"Yes you did." I grumbled, "you scared the shit out of me." He chuckles at me again.
"Sorry my sweetness but I wanted to give you something in secret." He says as he hands me a parchment.
I look down to open it but he stops me with his hand on top of mine. "No don't open it now, open it once I leave." He whispers.
Just as I was about to answer he gives me a quick peck on the lips and quickly walks away. Once he was gone I opened the parchment to see beautiful cursive writing, it reads:
"My Beautiful Goddess, meet me at the stone gazebo near the lake of Posi in the late evening, I have something I want to give you.
Ps I miss your lips on mine everyday.
Love Antony."
My mouth rose into a smile so big my cheeks started to hurt. So that is what I'am doing now. Waiting for him.
A few minutes have passed and I still haven't seen him. Maybe he forgot, but that thought made water rise in my eyes. I sat down on the side of the stone gazebo and sighed while looking at the parchment in my hands.
Then all of a sudden I'm pulled back off the gazebo by two big strong arms I try to scream but a big hand covers my mouth. I'm finally put on my feet while laughter erupts from my attacker.
I recognised the laughter and turned around to smack him in the chest instantly hurting my hand as it lands on his rock hard peck.
I cradle my hand while he continues to laugh at me.
"Stop scaring me!" I shout.
He laughed a bit more before he finally settled down and said, "I'm so sorry my love but you look so cute when you pull that angry kitten face you make when your mad."
I walk away tired of his teasing. He grabs my bicep as he says, "Love I'm sorry I was just teasing I didn't mean to make you upset."
He looks at me with his soft sad puppy dog eyes and I can't help but forgive him.
"Your lucky your cute." I admit.
He smiles that cute smile that I love so much.
"Thank you and I think your cute too baby." He teases.
I roll my eyes at him.
"Well, what was it that you wanted to give me?" I asked.
"Tsk tsk tsk." He says shaking his head. "I want my kiss first, and then you can get your gift."
"Fine." I huff leaning in.
I plant my lips on his and soon enough Antony backs me into the stone gazebo and wraps his arms around me while my arms wrap around his neck while threading my fingers though his hair. The kiss is slow and passionate, he groans when I tug on his hair and it makes my body heat up.
After a while he finally pulls away and puts something secretly into my hand. I bring my hand up to my face to see what he gave me.
It's a little emerald necklace on a sterling silver chain. It's so beautiful that tears start to well up in my eyes.
"H..How did you afford this? This must have cost a fortune." I stuttered.
"I've been saving up since I met you. A beautiful goddess like you deserves beautiful jewellery." He admits. I shake my head at him worried he spent all his money that he needs to pay for food and shelter.
"Baby I absolutely love it but what about you? How are you gonna afford to feed yourself?" I scolded.
"Baby it's fine I made sure I had enough money set aside for food and other stuff, okay now don't worry I'm a big man I can take care of myself." He explained while tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. "They say that emerald was said to be the gemstone of the goddess Venus, purveyor of love and hope." He continues.
"Wow really?" I ask smiling up at him.
"Mmm hmm." He nods, proud of himself for knowing that little fact.
"Here let me put it on." He says turning my body around, lifting up my hair while he puts the necklace around my neck and clasps the ends together.
I turn back around and show him how it looks on me and he smiles. I wrap my arms around his neck once again while he wraps his around my waist. I lean my forehead against his and close my eyes.
"I love you so much Antony you are my everything. Thank you for the necklace, I will cherish it and wear it always." I beamed.
"I love you too baby, always. Your welcome and thank you for being mine." He replied.
We spent the evening in the stone gazebo holding each other and stealing kisses. I will remember this moment for the rest of my life.
End of flashback.
I stand in front of the mirror holding my necklace that hangs around my neck, remembering the day Antony gave it to me. I guess I wasn't wrong when I thought I will never forget that day.
I guess you could say that day is ingrained into my brain. It's one of my favourite memories of Antony. He was so selfless and kind that people took advantage of it.
I see tears run down my cheeks in the mirror and I immediately wipe them away and continued getting ready for work. Maybe seeing Evan today will help brighten my mood.
