Jemisha went to pick up her truck and left for Iris school.
She was half an hour early so she waited at her truck and one of the mothers came up to her.
'Are you waiting for your little sister?'
'No I'm here to pick up a flower.'
'You mean little Iris, are you her neighbor?'
'I am.'
'Then you are aware of little Iris personality disorder?'
Jemisha looked at the women.
'No, and why do you say she has one?'
'Well she is warry of every person she comes across no matter the age.'
Jemisha smirked, 'So…I'm the same, only I'm an adult and can coop with it, she is just a child.'
'And even if her current state of wariness is a bit excessive, it doesn't mean she can't learn to work with it. And being warry isn't a bad thing, being warry means you survive longer in this world.'
Jemisha was slightly irritated how this women looked down on her.
'I can think of a few way's why she became like this, and if she gets the proper support she can even outgrow it.'
The school bell rang and all the children came out.
Jemisha saw a few boys picking on Iris, as she walked up to them she could heard what they were saying.
And stood right behind them.
'Well if she is weak, then you try being in her position and show me how brave you are, you'll be crying for your mommy in seconds.'
The boys turned around and saw Jemisha.
'You girls are just a weak bunch.'
A man came running up but Jemisha had already picked them up by cloth line.
'We are weak…'
'Maybe I should ask a few of my friends and re-enact her situation for you.'
'Rose…'
Jemisha looked at Iris.
And put the boys down.
One of the boys saw his father and ran up to them.
'See what did I tell you, crying in seconds!'
Jemisha looked at Iris, 'Are you alright?'
'Yeh, thank you Rose.'
The man walked up to Jemisha but she used her taekwondo against him.
'Ahh I'm sorry, I just responded out of instincts.'
She helped the man up.
"That's alright Miss, your pretty strong for an 18 year old."
'Well that's because I have 6 brothers.'
"I came to apologize for my son's behavior and I think you taught him a good lesson."
Jemisha smiled 'Well he acts like a little brat, I think grounding him would be good for him.'
The boy hid behind his father.
She looked at the boy 'It's wise to not judge a book by its cover next time.'
Jemisha picked up little Iris and walked away.
"Dad what did she mean by that?"
"It means you should never judge something or someone by appearance alone."
"And what the hell is wrong with you, being this prejudge, who taught you to behave like this hmm…"
"Just wait till your mom hears about you bullying a girl."
"I'm sorry dad…"
The man pulled his son in to the car while scolding him.
The mother of the other boy smacked him on the back of his head and scolded him as well.
'I don't know where you get the idea from bullying a girl, you are grounded and no video games for a month'
The boy cried but his mother ignored it.
All the parents got a wake-up call because they saw Jemisha's actions.
'Rose where are we going?'
'Were going to get some ice cream.'
'Really?'
'Yeh because I returned yesterday and Jake told me to come and visit you so here I am.'
'And we flowers need some quality time don't you think?'
Iris eyes light up and was happy.
Jemisha found an ice cream shop and took her inside.
'Pick whatever you want but do leave some room for your dinner later.'
Iris picked a Sunday with chocolate and nut toppings and Jemisha order the same only a large on.
Jemisha looked at Iris, 'I'm not going to ask how school was because I saw it already.'
'Are you being bullied often?'
Iris nodded.
'Did you tell your parents an teacher about it?'
Iris shook her head.
'Iris…bulling won't stop until you talk about it, did you know that?'
Iris looked at Jemisha but didn't know what to say.
'But if you don't want to talk about it to your parents you can always talk to me and I can always go to your teacher and talk to them if you like.'
'But if you do want to tell your mom and dad I can be with you if you like.'
Jemisha than changed the subject.
'Are you good in studying?'
Iris pulled her report card and showed it to her proudly.
Iris explained what it all meant and Jemisha smiled.
'So you a little genius!'
Iris smiled at Jemisha's compliment.
'But math is a subject I'm not all that good in.'
'Do you want to become better in that?'
Iris nodded.
'Well it's decided, I would only be staying at Jake for 2 weeks I'll extend it to 2 months and I will tutor you, and help you with your homework every day.'
Iris hugged Jemisha.
When they were done with their Ice cream Jemisha looked at her phone and they still had an hour.
Jemisha then took Iris to a few stores and picked up a few thing she needed.
She saw Iris looking at a sketch book.
'You like to draw?'
'Yes, dad and mom always like my drawings.'
Jemisha picked it up and told her to get drawing surplices like pencils and whatever she needed.
Iris looked at her if it was alright?
'Go ahead and on our way back I tell you a little secret.'
Iris was getting everything she needed and Jemisha saw a cute dairy and pick it up.
As they were done Jemisha payed for everything and went back to the car.
On the way Jemisha told Iris a little about the time between her 13th year and 16th year.
'Well thanks to Jack I got a lot better, and thanks to everybody else I started my own company when I was 16 years old.'
'You can say I'm also a little genius just like you, but where I lack my friends will make up for it and we support each other in bad times.'
'We may be different flowers, but we still can help each other.'
'So even if you feel you want to talk about what makes you sad or warry, you can always tell me because I know how it feels, that you can't talk to anybody.'
Jemisha arrived at Iris home and helped her out of the truck and walked her up to door.
Iris parents saw their daughter smiling and looked happy for the first time in years.
They opened the door for them and Iris openly start to talk about eating ice cream with Jemisha and that she got a new sketch book from her and other drawing supplies.
Iris parent's looked at Jemisha and told her to pay her back.
'That's not needed, she is like a little sister to me, because in some way she resembles me a little.'
'Iris I have a present for you.'
Jemisha handed her a dairy.
'If you are not sure how to tell your parents about something, write it down and show it to them.'
Iris hugged her 'I will.'
'I also be staying at Jake for two months so just let me know if you need me to watch her or pick her up from school. I also promised her to help her with her homework every day.'
Iris parents looked at her thankful for helping them with Iris.
'Iris, why don't you come over after dinner with your homework to Jake.'
"Is that really alright?"
'Why wouldn't it be?'
"Jake does like to keep to himself."
'It's alright, he can still keep to himself while I tutor Iris.'
'Iris make sure you eat everything and I see you later.'
Iris nodded.
Jemisha was back and told Jake that Iris was coming over after dinner and she would help her with her homework.
Jake didn't mind and told her it was alright.
After they were done eating Jemisha helped with the dishes and making some coffee.
The doorbell rang and Jake went to open the door and got a hug attack from Iris.
"I heard you were out with Rose and had some ice cream."
'Rose saved me from bullies and we had ice cream on the way back from school and we went shopping.'
"Do you like Rose?"
'Yeh she helps and protect me like a big sister.'
Jake smiled.
"Well your big sister is in the kitchen, why don't you go there."
Jake talked a little to Iris father and asked how she was ever since that day.
"She has nightmare sometimes and gets anxious. But today she looked so lively after spending some time with Rose."
The men peaked in to the kitchen and saw Iris taking in everything Jemisha was teaching her, and even started to make notes.
"Your sister is a real blessing to Iris."
"Well she faced a similar event in the past and my brother Jack got her back on track again."
"She is more aware of Iris state of mind and that's why she will help her to get her back on track again."
After 2 hours Iris was done with all her homework and Iris mother came to pick her up.
Iris got her things packed up.
'Mom can Rose stay for dinner and then help me with my homework tomorrow?'
'Sure, but you need to ask Rose if she able to come.'
'Rose, can you come over for dinner?'
'Sure Iris.'
Jemisha walked them out and Iris mother thanked her again.
Jemisha waved and closed the door.
A few days had past and Jemisha was busy during the day with the demolition and in the evening she helped Iris with her homework.
Jemisha was a bit early at Iris home and she got the time to help Iris mother helping cooking dinner and they talked about Iris and how she became warry of strangers.
Jemisha understood it very well.
'Have you sought out help for her like a psychologist?'
'We have but she doesn't trust him or her and we gave up.'
'Well I understand Iris, but the problem about psychologist are they use their work attitude on her and don't approach her on her level.'
Iris mother showed Jemisha, Iris dairy and she read through it.
'Does she have a lot of nightmares?'
'She has, we always try to comfort her and she calm down fast, but we can't pin point her anxiety attacks or get her out of them.'
'Have you looked in to getting her a therapy dog?'
'We have but…'
'I understand, but if you don't tackle it fast she will suffer the rest of her life. She is still young and the sooner you deal with it the better. Or she will end up like me and believe me that is something you don't want to.'
Iris and her father arrived and Jemisha was met with a crying Iris.
'What happened?'
"She was bullied and they even ganged up on her."
"The parents were called in but…"
'Alright.'
'I don't want to go to school anymore!'
Iris cried her heart out and Jemisha comfort her. She was fed up with the attitude of the parents and teachers.
'Iris, you go to school tomorrow. Because you don't want to miss out on what I'm going to do at your school tomorrow.'
After dinner Jemisha helped her with her homework and she got a lot better in math and they talked about fun stuff.
When it was time for Jemisha to go back 'Promise me you will go to school tomorrow.'
'I will.'
Jemisha walked back and was on the phone with the police and asked them to come over to Iris school, because the bullying was getting out of hand and since what the parents and teachers did wasn't very affective maybe a good scare would.
The police agreed to it, and Jemisha called the parents and they all agreed to it.
