"Goddamn it! Goddamn it!" She snapped,
"Why am I so unlucky?" She croaked "…She gets a guy and all her troubles disappear! Why me!" She cried as she fell to the ground and sobbed. She was back at the hotel at her crying post behind the kitchen.
As she sat there with her knees to her chest and her face bowed, the door slowly creaked opened and someone suddenly spoke.
"…If you're going to cry here frequently, you should at least do it quietly."
Mia immediately raised her head and her teary eyes suddenly met Christian Oh's own, sending a sense of urgency into her head.
"Mr. Oh." She said as he got on her feet and quickly cleaned her face.
"You say we're friends but you still call me Sir." He smirked, "…Aren't you supposed to be home?" She said as he plopped down next to her and beckoned on her to sit.
"…I am, but my friend Tracey asked me to cover for her tonight, that's why I came back." She chuckled,
"…I'm guessing you haven't had dinner yet…"
"I almost did…Then I didn't."
"…Great, I brought you something delicious." He said as he held out a small food pack in his hand.
"…Here, eat up." He handed it over to her.
"Thank you so much Sir—Mr. Oh—Christian." She chuckled nervously.
"It's fine, it'll take some time getting used to."
"…Meanwhile, how did you know I was here?" she questioned,
"You think you're the only one who wants to escape reality sometimes?" He smiled and Mia chuckled.
"The food is delicious by the way—"
"Thank you, I specially made it myself—"
"Oh! I thought you bought it from the diner—"
"Can you tell the difference in the taste?" He smiled,
"…Yes, now I've finally tasted your cooking, I can say you're a very fine chef."
"Thanks to all the hard years of training." He smiled.
"…I admire you Mr. Oh." She said with her mouth full,
"…Why's that?" He smiled,
"…Well the fact that you attained such height at an early age, and now you get to be in charge of people way older than you…It's really admirable." She tossed him a smile.
Christian turned to face her and for a moment he was lost, with her swollen eyes and messy hair, she still managed to look very beautiful, and then her lips, his eyes strolled down there as he watched her chew and came to a pause…They appeared really soft and—No wait, there were crumbs of her meal there. So without any warning, he reached out to touch them, and Mia nearly flinched.
"…There's crumb all over." He simply said as he gently helped her clean them up.
Suddenly Mia's heart raced as she stared back at him, his warm hands were still on her lips. Quickly, she looked away first and Christian dropped his hands.
For the next few seconds, the duo sat in an uncomfortable silence till Christian broke it,
"…Um so my family's having a New Year's Eve party and I was hoping you could come." He said,
"Ohh, I didn't know you had family in town." Mia chuckled,
"They just came in though." He chuckled, "So are you coming?" He asked,
"…Um, okay….If I'm not stuck cleaning out rooms." She laughed,
"We could figure something out….Betty could cover for you." He tried to convince her,
"You really want me at this party don't you?"
"…Yeah I guess…You've been really down lately and I'm hoping this party will cheer you up…After all, it's a new year and you what they say, New Year New Me—"
"Mental issues." Mia cut in,
"Wait, what??" Christian questioned with a puzzled look,
"Don't mind me." She gently laughed it off, "It's just something I saw on the internet….So, what time is this party you speak so greatly of." She asked instead,
"…Past ten I guess, I text you the details and the address." He smiled triumphantly.
"…Okay, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." She smiled."…And thank you for the meal once again."

New year's eve…
"…Do I go with the black dress or the blue?" Mia said as she stared at the pile of clothes spread out on her bed.
"Ugh!! I don't have anything to wear!" She yelled as she threw her hands up in frustration.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
"Go away! I didn't order pizza!" She yelled, but the ringing continued,
"Miss Anderson." The ringer suddenly called, making Mia suddenly curious. She rushed to the door and just before the ringer could stab the doorbell the fourth time, she opened the door and came face to face with a middle aged man holding a bouquet of roses and a shopping bag
"Good evening Miss Anderson, my name is James, Mr. Oh's chauffeur, he sent me to give this to you and also be your ride for the night." He said in his most polite voice as he handed her the flowers and the shopping bag.
"H-He did?" She stuttered as her eyes widened,
"Yes, he asked that you be dressed in the content of the bag." He told her.
"Thank you Sir." Mia smiled, "Please do come in—"
"It's fine, I'll wait here till you're ready."
"…Okay."
After about an hour of getting prepared, Mia was finally done. She stepped out as James led her downstairs to a black Bentley.
The ride was rather quiet, but Mia enjoyed the cool classical music that filled up the silence. After about half an hour of driving, they arrived their destination and Mia couldn't believe her eyes, it was Ethan's Granite Spring mansion.
"Excuse Sir." She called James, "But I think we're at the wrong address."
