Mia walked through the hallway, then for some odd reason decided to go to the underground parking lot just to clear her head a little.
The day and previous week had been really hectic for her, from Miss Lin being as usual, a sloppy Thanksgiving to the forceful date with Brad, it was simply put–A nightmare.
'Doctor Cassie's right, Aunt Megan probably needs rehab.' she thought as she walked through the parking lot like a supposed car owner.
She was still immersed in her thoughts when the loud blaring sound of a horn brought her back to reality.
In front of her was probably going to be the next worst thing for the day if she hadn't stepped in on time. There a little boy stood in front of a fast incoming vehicle, it was obvious he was too scared to move and Mia knew she had to swoop into action.
In the next split seconds, she quickly pushed the boy off the path to the man running towards them, and at the same time, she fell to the hard coal tar ground, hitting her head painfully, which made her go unconscious.

Ethan frantically searched for Noel around the hospital, he had just ended one of his fruitless therapy sessions and Ethan decided to have a word with the doctor. Somehow, the young boy managed to escape his bodyguards to explore the antiseptic smelling world he had been visiting often.
When Ethan searched around and couldn't find him, he decided to go out to the parking lot.
'Maybe, he got tired of waiting and decided to go to the car.' he thought.
He was just in time to witness the nearly horrible scene, but thankfully before he reached the scene, a supposed guardian angel had swooped in just at the right moment and pushed his dear son right into his arms.
"Are you okay?" Ethan asked as he held him tightly, his blood pressure was probably above the ceiling seeing the way his heart raced.
Losing Noel was death. He had always told himself.
Instead of giving Ethan a reply, Noel wriggled out of his grip and ran towards his guardian angel who laid unconscious.
Ethan immediately rushed to her and held her up, she had a small bleeding cut on her temple. At that moment, Noel gave him a look that said,
'Help her, Daddy.'
So Ethan Regal had no choice but to scoop her with his large slender arms, and carried her in a bridal style into the hospital.
Just as he reached the entrance, Noel's guards came running. Ethan stopped in his tracks and stared at them coldly.
"You two, you're fired." Then he glanced at the CCTV camera and turned to his secretary and said,
"George, get me the plate number of that loser, I'm going to make sure he pays for this." He added coldly before walking away.
---
Ethan sat on the couch just opposite the hospital bed, subconsciously staring at Mia as she slept. He had gotten a private VIP ward for security reasons.
He remembered her from the previous week, she was the clumsy little thing that ruined his suit and today, she was his son's hero.
She looked peaceful like she hadn't gotten such good rest in a long time.
Her jet black silky hair grazed her pillow like a waterfall. He noted her thick long eye lashes and still remembered the exact shade of her eyes, it was gray. He had to admit, she was beautiful.
Just then, she abruptly woke up like someone who had a nightmare.
"Have you seen a little boy, this tall, about seven years old?" She quickly described as she gestured.
"Five actually." Ethan replied as he pointed to her left.
"Five? He's quite tall for his age then." She murmured as she turned to her left.
There, Noel laid on the couch, fast asleep.
"Oh thank goodness, he's alright," She heaved a sigh of relief. Ethan was amazed at her concern.
She turned back to the man in front of her and that's when realization dawned on her.
"Oh my Goodness!" She gasped as she held her mouth.
"Y…You're that guy from the coffee shop—"
"Correct. And you're the girl that ruined my suit." He replied coldly.
Mia flushed with embarrassment,
".... I'm really sorry for being so clumsy. By the way is he yours?" She quickly asked.
"Yes and he refuses to go home until he makes sure you're alright."
And as if on cue, Noel woke up. He quickly got on his feet and came over to her bedside and got on the bed.
"There little man." She smiled at him.
He was a mini version of his father; great height, handsomeness, ocean blue eyes and a map of silk black hair.
"Hello." Mia greeted with a smile.
"Hello. The doctor said you had a mild concussion, are you feeling better now?" He questioned with concern, Mia was marveled at his intelligence.
"Yes. I am."
"And your head?" He asked as he reached out to touch the bandage on Mia's forehead.
"Does it hurt?"
"Not really, just a little headache though, thanks for your concern."
"Thank you for saving me yesterday, I was really scared back there." He smiled, Mia's heart melted, it was the most beautiful smile she had ever seen. He had a cute dimple just like hers.
"You're welcome." She smiled back.
"Now that it's been said and done Noel, I guess it's time to leave, you're already late for school—"
"Oh shoot! It's Monday!" What time is it?"
"8:28am?" Ethan replied,
"Aunt Megan! Work!" She exclaimed.
"Where do you work at?" Ethan asked nonchalantly.
"Nowel Luxury Hotels and Suites." She replied, causing Ethan to raise a brow.
"What's your job description?" He asked with interest,
"A hotel housekeeping staff." She smiled proudly.
Ethan cleared his throat and straightened his tie,
"Well Miss—"
"Mia! Miss Anderson." She completed.
"Well Miss Anderson—"
"What's your own name?" She interrupted again, directing the question to both of them.
"That's none of—"
"I'm Noel!" The little boy cut in with a smile.
"That's a beautiful name Noel, it means "born of Christmas right?"
Noel nodded.
"Okay! That would be it for now, thank you for saving my son's life. Miss Anderson and as a way of showing my appreciation, I've paid the bills for the room and your treatment. Take your time now. Goodbye." He calmly told her then took Noel and walked out the room.
Noel smiled and waved good bye.
"Bye little man." She waved.
"Hope to see you again." She mumbled.
Few minutes after they left, a nurse came in and treated the bruise on her forehead then told her she was free to go.
She asked the nurse to inquire about her aunt, but somehow she had been discharged.
"I wonder how she paid the bills."
The nurse brought her things from Aunt Megan's room and just then, her phone beeped and she received several debit alerts, at the same time she remembered that her bag had been in Megan's room all night.
"Arghh!" She screamed, giving the young nurse a scare.
She thought the poor girl was having a seizure and immediately called a doctor.
"I'm fine!" She told them as she stomped out of the room.
"I swear to God, I'm going to...." She was interrupted by her phone's ringing.
"What the hell!" She snapped before glancing at the caller ID. It was Miss Lin.
