Chapter 16 - 16

Endra had just left the house with Abror. Like it or not, like it or not. He had to go to fight with his Pack. All he wanted was peace. But if the enemy can win, then he is sure that the world will not be fine, especially the village of Blackmore.

To him the villagers of Blackmore were no longer other people. Endra already considered them all family. So he won't stay silent if people get hurt. Erland was getting lonely. Even though his father had only left the house a few hours. But he wasn't too bored, because suddenly a name appeared in his mind. Shanaya. Well, he remembered Shanaya. The few moments they spent together made Erland smile. He then looked at the window. It would be dark in about an hour. Even though Erland really wanted to do something at night. He was really impatient.

Elsewhere, Shanaya had just finished taking a shower. His body was quite sweaty from the sun all day long, making him uncomfortable. Having only been in the village for a few days, Shanaya's complexion had turned slightly tan. He often spent time in the fields. Taking care of the plants he just planted with Erland

Now Shanaya is drying her hair with a towel. She walked downstairs, down the stairs. This sunny weather she wanted to enjoy with a glass of lemon tea plus a little ice cubes. Cold lemon tea is ready soon. He took a sip of the drink before finally nodding enthusiastically. Shanaya immediately gulped it down while looking at the fields around her house that were visible from the window. Again the scarecrow disturbed his mind. Shanaya looked at the object sharply. While enjoying his cold lemon tea.

"That thing doesn't change position," he muttered to himself. The scarecrow he was staring at had been changing positions since she first came to this village. The thing that Shanaya couldn't figure out was the reason. Maybe the wind, or the brittle wood and bamboo. Lots of possibilities. Although it was still strange to him. Because the position of the scarecrow will change positions like someone who is about to get ready to run.

"Could he be hanging around in the middle of the night? If that's true, then maybe he's the one knocking on my door all this time. But... Ah, that's impossible! It must be those village youths! show up again tonight. I won't hesitate to shoot them in the head!" Shanaya said without hesitation.

SHe was really fed up with the terror from Ronald and his friends. Shanaya came to this village to seek peace, not to be terrorized again by Ronald. SHe became reminded of his lover, ah no, her former lover. Shaka. Shanaya already thinks that their relationship is over. Shanaya no longer wants to know and even has a relationship with Shaka. Even she was afraid that Shaka suddenly appeared in this village.

"Hm, I hope he doesn't know, That I was here!" The lemon tea had stayed a little at the bottom of the long glass. Shanaya just let it go and put it in the sink. She's full. Especially when remembering the people who had made her feel uncomfortable earlier. Shanaya decides to leave the house. She wanted to take a short walk around the village. After locking the door, Shanaya rushed out of her yard. Now she is on the side of the road. Look right and left to determine which direction he will go this time. Shanaya is completely blind about the conditions in the village. She really didn't know where to go, especially when she couldn't find a single person passing by on the street in front of him.

But somehow she was desperate to walk north. She thought the direction would be easier for him to memorize, because that's where Shanaya came from. That direction leads to the village gate which is a bit far from his house. She kept walking, and stared at the empty house that was right beside his house. The house was the house where the scarecrow was. Shanaya wonders where the occupants are. The house looks clean and well-maintained. The giggling sound was faint. Shanaya then looked around to find the source of the sound. Shanaya watched the road ahead. Several crowds of people seemed to be walking towards him. From afar, Shanaya could tell that one of them was Ronald. Shanaya looks for something under her shirt. His pants pocket, even his shirt pocket.

"Ah, shit! I left my gun at home!" she screamed and panicked a little. She was starting to get worried. Then I decided to hide. Without thinking, Shanaya ran to the yard of an empty house near her house. Because if he came back home, then Ronald's gang would definitely see him. Shanaya doesn't want them to know of her whereabouts.

She hid in the empty house. Trying to keep his body out of sight. Shanaya was surprised to find that the doorknob was able to open. Without thinking, she then entered and looked for a place to hide. At first she was just behind the door. While peeping at the conditions outside. But apparently Ronald and his friends actually turned to the house. Shanaya panics. She had to find another hiding place. Finally Shanaya squatted behind the living room table. The voices of Ronald and his friends began to be heard clearly. They joked with each other. And Shanaya was sure that they were in front of the house.

"Hey! What do you want?" one of them asked. The door creaked loudly. The sign they opened the door. Shanaya's heart was racing. She was afraid that his hiding place would be discovered by them.

"Come on, let's go inside for a bit. Since the house is empty, I haven't looked inside."

"No! We'd better get out of here. Don't let us go inside. It's too dangerous!"

"Dangerous? Why?"

"You don't know about the rumours?"

"Rumors?"

"Yes, rumors about this house. It is said that this house is haunted. Many strange things are happening here. And... He is the one who killed Abirama!"

"Hey, you don't spread gossip! Abirama died of a heart attack! What killed him? This house? Ah, that's bullshit!"

"Jesus! Trust me! We'd better go. If you want to go in, go ahead. But don't regret it later. I'll get out of here!"

"Hey, Zack! Wait for me!"

"Zack's right. What are we going for. Look, the furniture is ancient. Nothing of value!" Several footsteps were heard away from the place. Shanaya is still silent while sharpening her hearing. Especially when they say that his grandfather died because of this house.
