His stats had reached a whopping total of 64 which was about similar figures as level 5 awakened.
Eight skills were displayed in his status window from his continuous plunder.
'At this rate, I will get stronger faster.', Arthur was satisfied. Around this time before his regression, he just merely awakened and had a sole F-skill.
His pace was more rapid than previous.
Glancing at the remainder criminal before him, whose complexion turned pale from intense blood loss, Arthur gazed intently at the man.
"You---! What did we do to you?! Just why are you doing this to us!", the man drained whatever stamina he had left.
He had never seen either of the three aggressors before. He couldn't comprehend their reasons for committing such murders.
"You fucking demon! Just why---", Before he could utter more words, Arthur plunged his dagger downwards, piercing right through the man's brain.
'What fucking grudge does he have against me? Just why?!', the man thought, dying with eyes and mouth agaped.
Looking down at the lifeless torso, Arthur released cold words.
"That, you don't have to know.", he mumbled.
Casting his spell, system announcements then filled his sight.

Arthur had never stolen a fiend-related skill before. It was his first time seeing its description and effects.
'No wonder they get stronger in a short amount of time.', Arthur pondered.
Still, he speculated that there must be a limit to the total number of attributes that they could get considering the skill's grade.
Accepting such evil power would corrupt someone's soul and Arthur couldn't possibly make compromises.
What rather bewildered Arthur was the functions of the skill.
Basically, functions are unique to S-grade and higher skills. Lower than that would yield considerable skill effects which fell short of functions.
'It must be a unique skill or branch of a higher-grade skill.', Arthur assumed.
Some skills could bestow a lower version of their power onto other beings. For instance, the SSS-grade undead king who could grant skills to his undead.
'I guess I should be wary more of this fiend guild.', he thought
Cutting short his dawdling, Arthur selected the Great Slash (C) skill.

In this experiment, Arthur figured out considerable things about his skill, Fate Plunderer.
Aside from his previous discoveries of monsters working similarly to humans, Arthur realized that the white light hovering from the target, drifting toward himself was unseen by Echo and Dusk.
'Only I could see the white light.', he inferred
Having settled his business in the factory, Arthur recalled Dusk to his shadow whilst Echo arranged for a taxi.
The scene was cleared up of evidence, concealing the dreadful episode that transpired.
They had similarly disposed of the bomb, storing them in their inventories.
A minute later, a taxi arrived in the area.
Echo and Arthur hopped in the vehicle and the latter then closed his eyes to take a rest.
He didn't take the forefront of the hunting earlier. He merely relied on Echo's protection and Dusk's assassination prowess.
Not that he was bothered by their betrayal or such since they were under a blood pact with Arthur.
His father had prearranged these awakened for his security. Their loyalty and strength had long been proven. Likewise, under the blood pact, they couldn't go against the owner in any form or means possible.
Blood pact was a unique item crafted by his father solely for this purpose. There was no such commodity circulating in the market.
With that, he could reveal things to the two with full faith.
Of course, regression was off the chart.
Besides, he had already verified their loyalty during his pre-regression, offering their lives just to save Arthur.
'If not for them, I would have died early on in the tribulations.', Arthur muttered.
This time, he swore to keep the history a history. He didn't want to repeat the same blunders.
'I need to get stronger. Stronger than anyone else.'
Having secured the S-grade key fragment, Arthur presently scrolled through his phone.
His finger slid to his gallery and then toward the picture of the whiteboard entailing his plans.
'Now then, shall I prepare to escort guild members?', he pondered.
He then sent the list of persons he had set his eyes on to Echo. On top of the list was Alicia, the sole SSS-grade support.
"Locate their coordinates. I want a result within a week.", Arthur muttered toward Echo.
He was certain that other returnees were also tracking the whereabouts of these awakened. He couldn't possibly fall behind.
"I will do my best, young master.", Echo responded, scrolling through over 50 persons in the list. He could already get an indication of their country based on their names alone, however, that was still the tip of the iceberg.
'It seems that I will be busy for a while.', Echo muttered as he tried to recall his connections to the black market.
'I had never contacted them for ages.', he thought.
Resting his body to the comforting seat of the taxi, Arthur pondered over the fiend skill he witnessed earlier.
'It is strong.'
With such power, getting stronger in a short amount of time would be an easy feat.
If not for its corrupt facets, he would have plundered the skill.
'No time for regret. I have a better skill in mind anyway.', Arthur muttered as he recalled the SS grade skill of someone he was well acquainted with.
'Now that I think about it, how is that bully doing around this time?', he pondered.
