Maybe guilt was the reason I didn't protest with him, the reason I didn't question him when he said I should go. I came to a halt, before twirling but I no longer found him there, he was gone like the wind, the tears threatened to fall once again and they did, the cold substance sliding down my cheeks.
I knew of Dace's abilities to detect scent. Maybe he caught a whiff of what happened, and I turned on my heels, but it still didn't change the fact that he made me feel worse than I have already been. Why did he come if he would only let me go again? I sniffed, this was far worse than how I felt all this time.
