I chewed on my pinky finger. Mr Greyson's back faced me, he was on call and I was being restless. I tapped my feet endlessly and absently. I continued chewing on my fingers when I felt a hand on my lap. I narrowed my eyes to who the hand belonged to. Carl gave me a reassuring smile and squeezed my lap gently.
"Chill out, dude, your sister is fine. Don't worry yourself too much."
I wanted to believe his words but I can't. "I'm already very worried," I replied. "It's been two days yet no sign of her. I need to find her, alive or...." I stopped, feeling a lump grow in my my throat. "Or dead. I want to have the assurance that she's out there."
"Keep calm. She is fine." Ryan assured. "My instincts tell me she's okay wherever she is. She's safe out there."
"I wished I can believe that but I can't. My mind won't rest until I know she's fine."
