I swerved my car towards the lane that led to Marcus's house. My heart hammered against my ribs, I couldn't understand why. It felt like after that night I heard those words behind the door of his room, we don't have that much of a boyfriend and a girlfriend relationship. Marcus was the one man I had loved my whole life. If he didn't say that was a rehearsal- I will think this whole love of a thing is nothing but a game. Everyone goes for it when it's favorable.
I rode the city of Los Angeles to his house. This is the second time me being at his house after that incident. I ignored the battering of my heart, kicking off every form of negativity building in me. I have to make up to him and today is his last day in Los Angeles before moving in with his brother in Santa Monica.
