"That woman....she's your mom, right?" I insert. He paused his hands and turn to look at me. I can't tell from the look in his eyes if he was upset or not but he wore a neutral look.
"You went through my stuff last night, didn't you?" I was expecting him to snap out at me but he asked me that with a calm voice. The funny thing is that at times he's expected to react. He doesn't.
"I...was....curious," I picked my words, tucking my arms across my chest. I stared back at him. "I mean I never wanted to go through your things but your drawings intrigued me, your sketches impressed me so I wanted to see more. Like the finishing touch on your laptop but unfortunately, it was on the passcode."
"And that's when I saw her. At first, I thought she was your sister 'cause she looked so young but then you mumbled her name in your sleep."
