Nino
I almost choked as I beheld the sight out of the window. I couldn't see the face of the girl with him, her head was bent low and it seemed she was checking something on her clothes. Marcus's face lowered on her clothes too, I saw their lips move but I can't hear them. I obviously can't.
I felt a knot build in the pit of my stomach, I don't want to entertain any negative thought riding it. He might have bumped into the lady on his way here but for some reason, I don't feel too good.
I chewed the cookie pudding in my mouth silently and watched the two figures who seemed pretty close in my vision. Don't think too much, Nino. I assured myself. But I want to see the girl's face so badly.
"You don't like it?" I was pulled back by Kevin's question.
"Huh?" I avert my eyes from him and he motioned to my food or better his gaze lingered on my hand. I looked down and realized I have been twirling the cookie pudding absently, messing up the poor food.
