Chapter 3 - 2: System Tutorial and Arrival in the Galaxy

{Initializing System Tutorial…}

{Questline Generated: [Tutorial]}

{In the vast and wide multiverse, there exist many variations of timelines of both known and unknown universes. Some of these universes have Overseers which protect their assigned established "canon" timelines and disallow external forces from changing the canon timeline-creating Variation Timelines. As a newly created Remnant Soul, you are not able to enter the "canon" of your pre-selected universe [Star Wars] and have been assigned into a Variation Timeline. In this Variation Timeline, only you have access to the Remnant Soul System and it cannot be detected by Force users or technology-no matter how advanced said technology or Force ability/technique is.

{While within this tutorial, you shall learn about cultivating your physical avatar and Remnant Soul to the peak form so you may be able to change your homeworld's fate along with many other fates. In this Variation Timeline, only you as a Remnant Soul may be able to cultivate while all others are not able to do so. Some perks of cultivation may allow you to lengthen your natural lifespan outside of Dark Side abilities and prevent most weapon types from causing permanent damage such as loss of limb, but it cannot be used to forcibly inject cultivation into this Variant. One useful perk of being a Remnant Soul is also utilizing a unique aspect that does not usually manifest: the ability to utilize a mythical magic element.

{Magic (or Arcanism) is a part of the Remnant Soul regardless of origin, but very few can tap into their inherent arcane abilities at a significantly high level with fewer having access to it at the start of manifesting their avatar. Unfortunately, not even the System can alter-or assign-a Remnant Soul their arcane ability and until it manifests naturally (if at all), it remains hidden from the purview of the System.

{Tutorial Quest Completed! [Backstory and Lore of Remnant Souls]}

I stayed silent throughout the entire quest so I could best understand my new life. It surprised me that there were some sort of guardians for canon lore, but that made me even more curious about how everything truly worked. What were these Overseers? What did they look like? How powerful were they?

While it was obvious I wasn't going to be able to learn more about these Overseers just yet or possibly never, my interest then slid towards cultivation. Despite not being completely ignorant of cultivation as a genre of fantasy books or webnovel serials, it wasn't something that had caught my attention. Usually, the MCs of such novels were either reincarnators, regressors, or some lucky kid who just so happened to find an overpowered relic of divine power that allowed them to cultivate which made them only relatable to the total neets with a power fantasy.

Strangely enough after thinking of that, I got a shiver down my nonexistent spine as if I had just offended a significant majority of people. How odd.

Anyways, back on topic.

After reading through that entire quest, I received many more quests within the same questline. A few of them were about calling up my [Status] in the System and accessing different functions. There was a [Quest Log], [Bazaar], [Companion Tab], [UI Editor], [Ship Manifold], [Inventory], and [Simulation Arena] in the basic level, but most of the features were not available to me yet as my level was not sufficient enough. I didn't know too much about all of those features since the tutorial started losing my interest until I saw something odd after completing roughly five Tutorial quests.

I wasn't getting any rewards. No experience, items, or anything.

It was almost like the cosmos made a cruel joke giving me this System which seemed overpowered at first glance and before I could lash out in indignation, the System informed me about the reason why there was no rewards.

{User's rewards for completing the Tutorial quests/questline have been withheld until after finishing the Tutorial.}

Thus I held my metaphorical tongue and continued learning more about this new System of mine.

<-[Two hours later]->

{Ding! Congratulations, Damian Taylor, for completing the System Tutorial Questline! Your rewards have been distributed into your [Inventory] which can be redeemed after manifesting your physical avatar into your new universe. One part of your reward has been instantly redeemed by the System and that is to manually input your spatial-temporal destination within the [Star Wars Galaxy] to act as your starting point. You have also been granted a pre-selected list of destinations to choose from if you do not know when and where you'd like to start from.}

'Finally!' I thought to myself as I read the System prompt which announced my completion. 'All that information and I hope I'll be able to retain it easily. Good thing that if I forget, the System as a function which allows me to review the Tutorial information again later on.'

{Generating list of destinations…}

- Old Republic Era (25,000 to 1000 BBY)

- Republic Era (1000 to 19 BBY)

- Imperial Era (19 BBY to 5 ABY)

- New Republic Era (5 to 34 ABY)

- First Order-Resistance War (34 to 35 ABY)

'Hmm, where should I go?' I mentally asked myself as I looked over the list of destinations. I didn't want to start too far in the past and drastically alter the future as a result like in the Old Republic Era, but it also meant I didn't want to start too late like after the New Republic Era. It seemed like my only choices were the Republic and Imperial Eras to start my adventure in though something nagged at me over this choice. I didn't know what was influencing me to this extent, but there was a pull.

Something mysterious at the very back of my mind was drawing my attention towards a specific direction and I couldn't tell what it was. It was like I could feel an undercurrent of Fate directing me somewhere-guiding me towards a yet unknown goal. A Calling.

Before I even understood what was happening to me, I arrived in the Galaxy…
