He wasn't meant for the gods. He couldn't be a match for them if he can't even protect himself. They are a parasite, yet they have so much effect on the host. Shouldn't they be more soft behaved since they can't survive alone.

Could it he that each levels had mini levels? Amateur had three which leveled him up to Beginner. He stared at the blood on the bed, his throat almost enclosing at the disgusting sight. But then doesn't the system know that the difference between beginner and Amateur is very minute?
