The brakes of the car finally worked and the bus driver rushed out to check the man. He ran to the pavement side and stared at the man, his hands wrapped around his head.
He picks his phone and quickly dials the emergency number, knowing he had landed himself into trouble. He bent to check the mans pulse by placing two fingers on his neck and lowering his head a little to check if the man was still breathing. He couldn't feel a pulse and grits his teeth. He couldn't even remember how it all happened. He just knew it happened within few seconds. The bus behaving like it was possessed by something.
He raised his head and could see the mans lips moving. He quickly placed his fingers in front of the mans nose to see if he was taking in any breath but there was nothing.
Except for the breeze that blew past him, there was nothing. He stared at the man's bloody face as his mouth continued to move.
