Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 5

Ammiel was just 14 years old when she entered Grade 10, Junior High School. She started school at an early age because she's eager to learn when she was still a child. She grew up as the only daughter of both of her parents, but she was not spoiled, instead, she grew up knowing how hard money can be earned and how to spend it wisely.

When she was still in elementary she was always bullied by her classmates because of how kind she is. She thought the bullying will stop once she enters Junior High School, but, it didn't. Due to her soft personality, she never fought back any of those bullies, and instead, found a way to ease the pain and suffering she's been feeling, and that's through reading books.

She travels from one world to another through books. It started with her buying one novel on a whim just because she's attracted to its cover but then she started saving her allowance and buying one book at a time, spending her free times reading.

In 10th grade, she bought a new book. It was a book with a different kind of plot. The book was entitled, 'The Hidden Saintess'. The story started when the wizards and praelias waged war against each other for their territories. During this war, the wizards got the alchemists to stand by their side. On the other hand, Sirens and Fairies, 2 of the 5 Beast Tribes, sided with the praelias. The remaining 3 of the Beast Tribes and the Holy Temple stayed neutral.

On that time of war, the Alchemists were able to create deadly potions that can exterminate Sirens and Fairies. And once proven that it's working, they used it on the next battle. Sirens and Fairies were all exterminated and the praelias were at disadvantage.

Before things got worse, the Saint, which is the representative of the goddess who watches over/ supervises over this world and the leader of the Holy Temple, made a move through the guidance of the goddess, she split the continent into two. The wizards, alchemists, and Holy Temple on the first one, and the 5 Beast Tribes and Praelias on the other one.

But because of what the Saint did, she lost her life force and came back to the goddess' side. But, a prophecy was made, that every century (100 years), a new saintess will be born, and it will only be through the saintess that they'll be able to know the will of the goddess. Then as a punishment for the war who took many lives, people with no mana nor any abilities, and some of the beasts with no ability to be able to turn into their beast form were born. Those are now the normal people in both of the 2 kingdoms.

On the first piece of the continent that was cut into 2, Sirthyna kingdom was soon established, and the first rulers are the strongest wizards of that time, the SS class wizards, King Sawyer and Queen Amanda. While on the other one, a kingdom was also established but because of what happens to the Sirens and Fairies on the war, the Beast Tribes distanced themselves to the Praelias, they blamed them for what happen.

And thus, the one who ruled the whole Agathar kingdom was the chief of dragon tribe, the strongest tribe in the 5 Beast Tribes, Chief Draco. But things became different in Agathar. Not like in Sirthyna where everyone interacts with each other closely, Chief Draco did become the ruler of the whole Agathar as a whole, but the custom where there are still chiefs who rules per tribe remained. Agathar kingdom was divided into territories of each tribe with no close interactions. They only interacted when needed, like when they exchange goods. That was the long introduction of the novel.

Time passed by and the story then revolves around the female lead. Anette Felicia. She was born in the kingdom of Sirthyna, at the eastern region called Orien where most of the population is made of alchemists.

She's an orphan who was born in a clinic in Orien. Her dad died after being killed by burglars, and her mom died after giving birth to her, so she grew up in the orphanage near the clinic where she was born. And at the age of 6, people found out that she also possess the ability to give blessings, which is something that only priests can do.

She then was sent to the Lumen Academy to be a priest. She grew up and became a high priest after graduating. She was soon appointed in the Holy Temple located in the central region of Sirthyna, Centralis.

While working on the Holy Temple, she met a lot of people. The most memorable ones are the male lead of the story; crown prince Cyphel Reagan Zenith, the supporting character; her assistant who served her in the Holy Temple, Zeria, the second male lead; the head wizard of the royal palace, Daniel.

And finally, she met the villain of the story. The nephew of the dragon king who ruled the kingdom of Agathar, which is next to them. Callisto Rephienne Regia, the villain who wanted her power after finding out that she's the saintess. In the end, Anette and Cyphel were able to achieve their happy ever after they defeated Callisto.








And now, Ammiel, who is now Eleanor, can't help but gawk at the realization. This girl, she's Anette Felicia, the female lead from that book. And now it finally hit her, this world…the world where she ended up after dying on her first life….is the world of one of the novels she read before.

She can't help but feel stupid about her situation, and yet she knows herself that she can't help it. In all of novels and books she had read in the past, of course she won't be able to remember a novel just because of the character's name. She can even sometimes jumble the characters of the stories she had read.

But what really gave it all was the staff of Anette. It was the only clue for her to know that this is the world of the novel she read, because this staff's design left her an impact while reading the novel.

She wasn't able to recognize the characters because their looks are just described on the novel; the color of their eyes, color of their hair, how tall they are and many more, but, it was never illustrated because it's a novel.

But, on some pages, some illustrations can be found, and one of the illustrations shown on the novel is the staff that belonged to Anette, the female lead of the novel. And so, when Eli first saw the staff, she was able to remember where she saw it…in the novel she read before, and she was able to conclude where she is now.

On the planet or dimension where she lived on her first life, everything was normal, and so she was sure that this world is in a different dimension because everything that is normal here, was never normal to her old world.

And after seeing that staff, recognizing who its owner is, realizing the connection of that owner and the place where she's from, and a lot more, she was able to finally conclude that this is indeed the world of that novel.








"Eli, Eli! Are you okay?", she snapped back to reality and found herself sitting in a chair with Daniel, Anette, and the old lady staring at her. She just blanked out earlier. She rose up but felt herself stumble after the sudden movement that she'd done.

"Take it easy! You face look so pale!", the worried Daniel supported her into sitting on the chair again. And out of nowhere, Anette gave her a glass of water. "Is everything okay? Do we need to heal her?", but Eleanor just shook her head.

"I..I'm okay, no need to worry about me"

"Liar, your face look so pale, you're clearly not okay", Daniel retorted. She felt so drained inside and out. She blanked out a few more times while they're talking to her and before Daniel can even notice, her body just dropped after passing out.

"Put her here!", Daniel carried the girl's limp body and was directed into a room inside the shop by the old lady. They placed Eli on a bed and the lady started to check on her.

"I'm just a normal person with no abilities but I have a bit of knowledge when it comes to medicine", she checked up on the girl some more then faced the 2 other worried people.

"I don't know what really happened but her body and mind undergo from some kind of shock. No worries though, she just passed out, she'll wake up soon after recovering", the 2 nodded and Daniel looked out the window and noticed that it's already dusk, he needs to go and find some place where they can stay till she, Eli, recovers.

The old lady noticing his distress placed her warm hands on Daniel's shoulders. "You can stay here till she recovers", she smiled and look at the young girl asleep on the bed. "This is the 2nd guest room of mine, I still have one more guest room downstairs, you can stay there for a while", Daniel faced her properly and with a serious face, he asked,

"Is there any way to pay you? Can I pay you with coins, though I don't have that many but I can still work on it", this time, it was Anette who stepped up. "Mrs. Helien doesn't really want favors to be paid through money. Besides, you won't even know where you can find work here in Castus", Daniel sighed.

"You have a point but, I still want to repay her in any way I can. I know that Eli will also want that if she's in my shoes", Daniel insisted. Anette looked at Helien. She then smiled at the girl and looked at the determined young man.

"Okay then. I'll accept your repayment, but, I won't ask you for money. Instead, you can…"









"Thank you please come again"
"You're working hard"
"…"

Anette laughed at Daniel's reaction when she entered the shop. "Helping in the shop is indeed a good way to repay Mrs. Helien", she smiled and placed her staff in one corner.

"Oh Anette, you visited again"
"Hello Mrs. Helien"

Daniel just watched as the girl greeted the old lady. The two of them talked some more while he tended to the shop.

The condition Mrs. Helien gave Daniel is to help out in the shop as a repayment instead of receiving money from such a young, 14 year old, boy.

It's been 3 days since Eleanor fell unconscious again and she still hasn't woken up. Daniel waited for her to wake up as he continued to work on the shop together with Helien. Anette also visited them every single day as she as well, was worried about Eleanor.

The peaceful silence of the shop was broken when they suddenly heard something falling on the second floor. Daniel worried about Eli who is staying on that floor rushed till he's in front of the girl's room. He then opened it without knocking and found an empty bed!

The boy started to panic inside when Helien and Anette reached the room. "What is it?! What happen?!", Anette looked at where the stunned boy was. "Eleanor?! Eleanor!", Anette called out entering the room as Helien tried to calm the boy who's face turned paler and paler by second.

"I….I'm her..e", the 3 stopped moving when they heard a sudden tiny whisper from the other side of the bed. And when they come to their senses, Daniel was the one who immediately run and found his best friend laying down flat on the floor.

He immediately tried to help her up while asking her tons of question that she can't even understand because of how fast he's talking. "Okay, calm your horses. Eleanor, what happen?", after shutting the boy up, Anette then proceeded to ask Eleanor some questions in a normal speed of talking that was more understandable than Daniel's.

As the three people gushed over her, Eli on the other hand tried to compose herself.

Her head is spinning caused by her falling from the bed after having a nightmare, her dying at the age of 18 when she was still Ammiel. She held her pounding head as Daniel helped her go back to bed when she remembered what happen.

How she met Anette, saw her staff, and found out that she's in the world of a novel she read before. "Eli, are you okay now?", Daniel was pushed aside by Mrs. Helien as she proceeded to check on the girl. After a few more minutes of silence….

"Looks like she's doing okay now, she's still a bit pale but after eating and relaxing for a little bit more, she'll be fine", the 2 teens nodded then looked at Eleanor again.

"I'll prepare some breakfast for her. Daniel, you can go and buy a supplement potion, it can enhance her strength through that. Anette, can you please help out in the shop for now till Daniel comes back?", the 2 nodded at the old lady's order.

"I'll be back okay, so just relax and rest", Daniel patted Eli's head, more gently this time, before heading out of the room. Anette grabbed her hand, "Just stay still so you can recover faster", and went out of the room as well.

And finally, Helien helped her settle down on the bed and covered her with a blanket. She then smiled and went out of the room before gently closing the door. Eli let out a sigh after they all left.

She looked at the window and saw the blue sky and white fluffy clouds. It all looks realistic, but, when the thought of this world belonging to a novel, that reality cracks up a bit. A few more minutes of silence filling the room and a thought came to her mind.

She then immediately removed the blanket and got something out from her bag placed beside her bed. With a notebook, that she created by collecting papers and tying them all together, and pen on her hands, she sat down in the floor and used her bed as a table.

"I need to plan everything out again. My previous plan is to save money, get out of the orphanage and settle down somewhere close to where I'll be working. But now that everything changed, I have to plan a different one", Eli murmured to herself.

Eli looked at her reflection on the window. As Ammiel, she had a lot of plans and dreams, but those were all destroyed after dying at such a young age of 18. This is her second time living, and being in the world of novel can be considered dangerous especially to this novel.

'The Hidden Saintess', is a novel full of magic, battles, and wars. It is very obvious how dangerous it is. Eli started writing down the most important characters of the novel.

ANETTE FELICIA, she's the female lead who is a commoner orphan from the beginning but was soon discovered as the next Saint. CYPHEL REAGAN ZENITH, the male lead of the novel who was the only one who survived the battle for the throne and became the crown prince, the female lead's love interest.

ZERIA, the supporting character and the best friend of the female lead, she's the orphan maid of Anette after becoming the high priest of the Holy Temple. DANIEL, another supporting character, also considered as the 2nd male lead, he is the strongest wizard in Sirthyna who works for the royalties and fell in love with Anette but was unfortunate because she's won over by the ML.

And finally, the main villain of the novel. CALLISTO REPHIENNE REGIA, the nephew of the chief of Dragons, and the ruler of Agathar. He is the son of the chief ruling the South Agathar, Aquilo.

These are the characters that have the most impact in the story. And she, who decided to now live her second life to the fullest, should avoid these characters in order to live a peaceful life.

Another thought came to Eli's mind, she then tried to remember any character named 'Eleanor' but she just can't remember anyone named that. That means Eleanor is neither a main nor a side characters, she's also not someone who even shows up one time in the novel. In conclusion, she's not someone important, in short….an extra.

One who's just a part of the crowd. Someone who's main purpose is to be a part of the background.

That's a good thing, that she's an extra. She won't have to worry about her life being in so much drama, though she can still be in danger if she's a part of a background that was meant to be destroyed because of a scene. But, as an extra, she has a higher chance of surviving in this world, away from the dramas and etc.

But, she can't do that anymore. First, her plan of avoiding the most important characters won't work anymore because 1. She's already close with Daniel, the 2nd male lead and 2. She already encountered the most important person she should never have any encounters, the main character Anette.

"My god, what have I gotten myself into? It's not hard thinking of a way to adjust to this new world, now I also have to think of a way on how to survive this world in this kind of circumstance…ugh, now that's harder"
