Rafael's POV:
I wanted to kill that jerk for touching Astrid, but I was also pleased with her for standing up for herself and teaching him a lesson.
I was frustrated and began blabbering all that had been buried in my heart.
Astrid abruptly silenced me with her lips on mine, and it was the best feeling. Something shook within me, and before I could realize what was going on, she drew away from me.
But it was too late; all of the emotions and sentiments I had suppressed within me had returned, and I ended myself backing her into the wall, holding her cheeks, and pouring all of those feelings in that kiss.
When Astrid answered with equal zeal, I felt encouraged, but our moment was cut short when Astrid pushed lightly and looked behind me.
"Mom," she remarked.
When I glanced around, I saw that very familiar woman standing there, stunned.
