He knew this force well—Merit was the power that the Arsenal Module employed to build Rebirth Marks, those extraordinarily powerful runes that granted remarkable regenerative abilities and the capacity to burn a portion of one's life force without incurring permanent harm. Such Marks had always been extremely useful and were considered among the key tools Cain had once relied upon during the War Against Dark Sky.
Cain's body already had a Rebirth Mark engraved in it. Yet, after his physique and vitality grew well beyond the scope of a normal Divine Transformation Master, that old Mark no longer served much purpose, which was why, as he watched this new stream of purple energy, he felt little excitement initially.
