Cain had not even meditated for half a day when the second envoy arrived, and just as he had expected, his luck was not good. Booming words reverberated from beyond the doors of his residence:
"Tell that man that Inner Elder Paramon is here. He must come and welcome me!"
They were so loud that Cain could hear them without any problem, prompting him to let out a soft sigh. "Well," he murmured to himself, "this is a sect that promotes infighting, and bullying others into doing your bidding is quite normal. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised."
Without further delay, Cain stood from his meditative posture and walked out of the room. Cain paid no attention to the panic on the butler's face and instead focused on the figure looming at his front gates—a massive man from the Dues Behemoth Race.
