The wounds healed after allowing his scarlet flames to flood his body for a few minutes, and he was as good as new. However, healing did not erase the deep frown on his face. Being cured didn't mean he had a way to overcome the blood rain that barred his path.
After a moment of contemplation, Cain shifted back into his dragonborn form. A larger body would mean a higher intake of the invasive blood, forcing him to fight harder to control it. His sixty-meter-tall form was the most efficient for the task at hand. Taking a deep breath, Cain approached the edge of the bloody rain once more. He didn't step into it fully this time but extended only his hand.
