Their movements were precise, practiced, and deferential, reflecting respect and also fear for the mysterious figure of the Outer Elder. Cain, however, barely acknowledged them. His mind was already preoccupied with thoughts of what lay ahead.
Upon entering his chambers, Cain usually retreated into the [Samsara Arsenal Module]'s Second Layer through the Absolute Life Form System, immersing himself in the Soul Enlightenment Mist, which made cultivation much more efficient. But today was different. He needed to remain within the Gu Sect's territory because he was waiting for someone, someone who wanted to speak with him very much and who most likely was full of rage.
