After overcoming the shock of Goldker's head exploding under the might of the Spear of Doom, a wave of confusion and unease swept through the warriors of the Gu Sect and Golden Star Kingdom. The gruesome spectacle had rendered them speechless, and their minds raced to understand how Cain had suddenly gained control of the Tower of Power. Only Ariel was supposed to be able to control the tower, and everybody saw him perish under the attack of the Golden Lake Avatar, his lifelessness pulling into the golden plasma.
As their eyes darted toward the faintly glowing statue in Cain's left hand, realization began to dawn. It was clear that Cain had somehow retrieved Ariel's corpse from within the Golden Lake and looted the powerful man's space ring. The implications of this were staggering.
