"Well they were spritely." Jenna said in a clipped tone.
"Very energetic and loud." I added.
"Energetic, loud and proud! That's Devon's bunch." Dad said
"There was a time I thought twins were cute. Not anymore." said mom with a concerned chuckle.
"I thought they were wonderful." said Emily.
"She's right, you know. They are wonderful. Devon is the man you turn to when you're in a pinch. No doubt he raised his kids just the same." Dad said with a smile.
The night before Devon was about to leave Dad suggested a bonfire.
"That's a great idea," Devon said. "It'll be just like the old days when we used to separate for a while. The last time we had one of those was when my dearly departed cousin lost his mate. Now at least Ronan is with his mate and family."
"Yes," Dad agreed quietly.
"I can't imagine how he did that, living with the pain of his mate's death alone must have been pure hell."
