"Emily, Emily?" I called out. I'd been back for ten minutes. I went up to my room and got some new clothes. I needed to find Emily, ask her how her day was and apologize for ditching her most of the day.
I'd searched her room, mom and dad's room, I just had to search downstairs.
I headed to the kitchen first to make sure she hadn't done any damage. She'd eaten most of the muffins mom made earlier and left a trail of crumbs from the overnight to the table.
I rolled my eyes, of course she would make such a mess.
I was about to leave and check everywhere else when I remembered what Aden said. He cleans up this place, along with Nadine. It was Emily that called them in as elves when she was little and all the messes she made would mysteriously disappear. Back then I was training for my trials, so I didn't even clean up after myself.
I sighted and got a broom to clean up.
