"Is he your boyfriend?" Someone asked knocking me out of my daze.
"Huh?" I blinked.
The question was thrown at me again and it's coming from Klein.
I peered at Dr. Owens in awe. "He is my….. ermm…."
"No, I am just a friend." Dr. Owens came to my rescue.
He flash a smile at me and I smiled back widely like an idiot.
"Yep, this is Chris, my friend," I managed to say cohesively.
Elizabeth's friends let out a sigh of disappointment.
"That's so unfortunate. You guys will look good together ." A girl with brunette hair said.
I blush and Dr. Owens couldn't hide how flustered he is by what the girl said.
I blew out a breath. "Okay, guys my ride is here. Thanks for keeping me company whilst I waited for my ride." I say expressing my gratitude.
"Thanks for the music. You made this night more special." Elisabeth said with her eyes illuminating brightly like the newly engaged girl she is.
