She was crying. Crying tears of sadness. Her beautiful black hair had been messed up and looked rough. Her pale skin had been turned red through being punched too much. Her charcoal black eyes still cried. They cried for help. For someone to save her. They needed someone to save her, or she might be lost in the depts of darkness and despair.
She looked to the ground, hiding her face behind her arms to stop the blows coming her way.
"You think you're all cool and stuff but you're nothing!" Yelled a random kid. Everyone was laughing at the girl. The one that was hurting.
"Pathetic!"
"Useless!"
"Nothing!"
At the word nothing, her pupils dilated. She felt even smaller than she did before. She wished it would all be over. Her life was already bad enough that she didn't need this. Even if she had told the boys about her life, it wouldn't have mattered to them. Nothing mattered. Only that she had ran into them and bolled the leader over. She bowed her head even lower, her tears forming rivers on her face. Her breathing shallow, uneven and rasped. She wished someone would save her. Anyone, she didn't care, she just needed help.
"Leave her alone!" I yelled while running over to the group. "What are you doing!?" I hissed at the others who shrunk back in fear.
"A-Aidan! W-we were just teaching her a lesson…" The boy at the front said.
I just looked at them. They were the ones that were pathetic. I turned to face the girl in front of me. She had her head down and was crying. I knelt to the ground and wrapped my arms around her.
"It's ok." I whispered. "You're safe now." She looked up at me scared. I smiled at her. She was beautiful. I was taken aback by how stunning she really was.
I let go of her and stood up. I was angry. Why did they hurt this poor girl? She did nothing to them.
"What do you think you are doing!?" I yelled, turning towards them.
"Why are you so mad? Is she your girlfriend or somethink?" A snot nosed kid named Jack asked.
"No, but what you are doing isn't right." I tried to stay calm, but it didn't really last long.
"Aidan, get out of our way. Or we'll have to hurt you." The leader named Hunter said. Was he serious? Like for real? I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"I would like to see you try!" I stated, calmly.
"You asked for it!" He yelled swinging his arm, aiming at my face. He was too slow, so I dodged it nicely. I put my hand on his arm and pushed myself into the air. I fell to the ground after a few seconds, landing neatly next to hunter. Using my wind power, I punched Hunter with my fist and the wind to make sure he was fully down. Then turning around, I added wind to my feet to increase my speed. I made sure to punch each of them at least once. Just for good measure, I made a lightning strike come down from the sky to scare them, causing all of them to run home crying to their mothers. I felt satisfied with what I had done.
"T-Thank you…"
I turned around to the trembling girl. It looked as though she was still scared. I mean she had every right to be, but it was still sad. I sat down next to her and rested my back on the trunk of the tree.
"You're welcome." I smiled at her, hoping to make her smile but to my dismay she did not.
"You must be freezing! Here, take my hoodie." Taking my hoodie off, I gave it to her, but she refused it. So, I lifted her arms up and pulled the hoodie down on top of her. It didn't really work out that well, she ended up getting stuck. Laughing, I took her hand and pulled it through the sleeve. She did the other one herself.
"Why are you so stubborn?" I asked while looking into her orbs of darkness. She blushed and turned away.
"I-I didn't want to bother you…" Her voice was muffled because she buried her face into my hoodie.
"You're really beautiful, ya know." I was met with silence.
"Do you really mean it..?"
"Of course, you are! You're the prettiest girl I've ever seen." I said while smiling at her again. This time I was meet with a frown. Did I say something wrong? I hope not.
"My name's Aidan by the way." I said while extending my hand towards her.
"Dawn.." She said while slowly taking my hand. Her skin was soft, and I liked the feeling of her hand in mine, so, instead of letting go, I held onto it and rested it on my lap. She looked at me and smiled. I felt all giddy inside.
"You have magic as well?" She asked more confidently now.
I looked at her, shocked. Did she say as well?
"You mean you have magic too?" I asked. She nodded. If she had magic, why didn't she defend herself. Why was she letting people beat her up?
"I'm not very good at it though." She whispered, tears forming in her eyes.
I felt sorry for her. She has magic but can't use it. That must be the worst feeling.
"I can teach you, if you want?" I said, some-what nervous.
"I would like that." She smiled. When she smiled I couldn't help but smile as well. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen.
