Marvin and his wife Alice were expecting a set of twins, there first since 9 years of marriage. They looked forward to the treasures and had already named them June and Judy.
They had the resources; Marvin was a Marine Engineer and Alice was operated from home as a Social Worker. The couple had all it would take to cater for the twins and still enjoy vacation abroad.
Everytime Alice brought out her untrasound report, she smiled to look at the contours of her babies. She had even fed the e-copy into her system, and found pleasure in staring at the unmistaken lines of two viable humans growing inside her.
At eight months and two weeks, Alice tidied up her stuff as she watched the painter spray her favourite mix of orange and grey colours on the walls of her room.
She went into her study to enjoy a guiet moment, peering at the ultrasound report again. It gave her ecstasy to think she would soon cuddle a set of twin babies. Her joy was usually full.
This Saturday morning, as she clicked the system on, something jolted inside her. She felt a pang of pain, but she ignored it and opened the system. She was taken aback by the shape in the ultrasound report. Rather than the two viable human forms, she saw only one contour with teeth flashing at her! Then there was a pause, and another
image popped up, this time ot 3ss4that stared at her was an image of a girl, say about six years of age, booing her and pushing her tongue up and down, hissing and laughing at the same time.
Alice was dumbfounded! Where did this image come from and how was it possible that the awry looking child was speaking to her!
"No June, no Judy, it's just me!
It's just me! Get that in, it's just me! Kikikikikikiki. It's just me! Me!! Me!!!"and she would disappear and pop up again on the screen. "
Alice felt a faint coming and staggered out of the room. She was just on time to find the painter running into the sitting room, paint brush and bucket in hand and looking frightened.
Alice was dumbfounded herself to ask him what was wrong, but before she could speak, Danny the Painter had spilled the beans: "There is a small hand painting along side with me. "No June, no Judy! I am coming!"
That was the last thing Alice heard before she blacked out!
