Ah yes, let me explain a little bit.
Mastery of the Runes simply meant successfully tracing out the rune using my own energy within my body once.
As long as I did it once, my energy would gain energy memory over the act of completing that rune once and I would be able to repeat the creation of said rune much, much more rapidly than before.
In a sense, I would be creating "pathways" within my body.
