I couldn't help but not pay attention during class. All this information that had been shoved into my head was all too confusing. Devil's Echo was such a strange quirk. I couldn't wrap my head around that either.
"Tanaka!" Mr. Shinso yelled, tiredly.
"Agh!" I exclaimed. "Sorry about that."
"Whatever is going on in that head of yours, it can wait till after classes."
Lunchtime rolled around. Natsu pulled me into the seats where the others were sitting.
"Wanna tell us what's going on?" Natsu asked.
I looked at Sakura and Izumi. Sakura avoided eye contact while Izumi whistled away with her own little tune.
I sighed. "Well, some people that I know of were supposed to keep this a SECRET."
"Nahh, really?" Sora said, sarcastically. "I thought it was supposed to be on the news."
Akira smacked Sora. "Shut up. But seriously what is this all about? Devil's Echo? Is that seriously the name for your new quirk?"
"Well, I didn't name it. Someone else did."
"Deku." They all said together.
"How about we just blast you to pieces and build you back up?" Satsuki punched her other hand. "I'll blast him and Izumi will build him back up."
"I'm good, thanks."
Everyone laughed at Satsuki's joke. Although I can't really tell if it was a joke.
'I'm getting serious vibes of deja vu right now.'
"ACHOO! Ahh, someone must be talking about me. Must be young Tanaka."
"But seriously," I continued. "Don't tell anyone else. Even in the class group chat."
"Ohh, fine." They all said.
After classes, I plopped myself on my ded in the dorms. My phone buzzed.
Mom: Your siblings miss you. They're killing me. Do me a favor and watch them. I need to do some shopping.
I groaned. She wanted me to watch Tomoha and Hiroki after a long day of confusion and thinking.
Me: Alright, I'll pick them up. Luv u lots.
Mom: Thanks, sweetness. Love you too.
I drove a car from the school parking lot, where students could pay to drive cars. I drove to my home and picked up my younger siblings. Sometimes I get disappointed when mom needs me to watch them. She still doesn't trust Tomoha to be home alone with Haruki even though she's a teenager now.
It's really hard to drive in a small car with a thirteen-year-old and an 8-year-old, who keep slapping each otherr, and not go bat-shit. They couldn't stop arguing.
When we arrived back at U.A. they were still arguing. When we turned the corner into the Commons, I saw all of my classmates chatting and messing around. Every girl gasped and ran over to Tomoha and Haruki.
"Oh my god! Hibiki, these cuties your siblings?"
"They're so adorable!"
"I can't handle it! They're to cute and small!"
Izumi hugged Haruki. He was squished against her chest.
"Hey!" Haruki pushed away and stood behind me. "No touching! Too many people."
Tomoha pushed them away and crossed her arms. "Who are they, Hibiki?"
"They're my classmates. You'll get used to them since mom will be doing a lot of things."
"I wanna go back home, Hibiki," Haruki said.
"We can't. No one's back at the house and I need to keep you with me." I sighed.
"Hibiki," Izumi said, darkly. "You never told us you had such adorable siblings."
"Well, you never asked."
Sakura suddenly summoned a small spirit. It was a companion spirit, Nicola. And held it like a cat and walked over to Haruki. She squatted down with Nicola. "This is Nicola," She said quietly. "Do you want to hold him?"
Haruki nodded. He held the spirit and gasped. "Haaa. He's so soft."
His cheeks turned red. He was happy with Nicola. Sakura smiled at him. "Here take this key. If you ever want to summon him just pat the ground three times. I'll just summon him from where I am. Anytime you want."
Haruki snuggled with the spirit. "Thank you, miss!"
"Your welcome," Sakura looked at Tomoha. "Would you like one too?"
Tomoha grunted and blushed. "Fine, but only because Haruki has one."
"I know a perfect one for you." Said pulled out a silver key and summoned another spirit. "This is Lyra."
A small child the size of Haruki appeared holding a harp. "Lyra makes music. I think you'll like her. If you want to summon her just do the same thing I told Haruki."
"Thank you," Tomoha said as Lyra held her hand.
"That solved so much," I said. "Guess I should thank you too."
"Is that your girlfriend, Hibiki?" Haruki asked, bluntly.
"No!" Sakura and I yelled. "She just friends!"
Sora whispered in Tomoha's ear, "But they love each other."
Sakura punched Sora in the face and he went flying out a window. When he landed, he called from outside, "IM OKAAAAY!"
My classmates laughed. Tomoha gasped. "Haaa! Who's that?" She pointed at Natsu. "Are you a movie star in training?"
"Huh?! Me? No, I'm just a simple high school boy."
"I don't know," Daiki and Hiro teased. "Got definitely handsome enough for the big screen."
"Bah," Haruki rolled his eyes. "Stop flirting!"
"Flirting?!" They both yelled. "Moi? This child- we're not even gay!"
"What's that mean?"
"It means that you- "Kai was cut off. I covered his mouth. "He's eight years old, Kai. He did not need to know. And neither did Tomoha."
"But I am gay!" Tomoha stated. "I have a girlfriend! I had one before Hibiki did! And I'm not even fifteen yet!"
"Ohhh! Hibiki!" Ayako grinned. "You've never had a girlfriend before?"
"Shut up!"
Tomoha and Haruki had a fun time with my fellow classmates. After we shared dinner together, mom picked them up. I so done with today. I threw myself into bed. The sports festival would be in a month and a half. We only had so much time to train. I'm hoping to make it to at least top ten. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly.
