"Thank you" I say to him as soon as we're outside.
He just smiled and kept walking with me slightly behind. Although I'm still shaking from the whole dog chasing situation, I still can't pass up on such an offer from one of my favorites artists and my throat really feels dry right now.
We walk into a cafe like store filled with ladies that began to scream and take pictures as we enter. Jk had a mask on but even I knew it was "useless" since everyone on this resort has gotten used to each and everyone of the artists here. And his tattoo especially gave him away.
He asked what I'll like before ordering an orange juice for himself and sprite for me. After getting our drinks, he handed mine to me and motioned for me to follow again.
Surprisingly, he didn't walk towards the main building but he led me towards a forest area. And he seems to have come here before because we move a little more before I see a brown wooden bench that are used in parks, on the side of the path walk.
As we sat on the bench with our drinks in hand, he suddenly chuckled.
"I can't believe you were scared of a pup." He said as he turned to me.
I blushed a little in shame
"I don't really think you should that dog a pup though" I say quietly
He began to laugh and that made me remember that I was whining about a dog to it's owner.
"I'm sorry if that was offensive" I said rubbing the back of my neck.
"I'm not offended at all" He said still smiling which made me comfortable enough to smile back.
Running out of things to say, we both got quiet and concentrated on our snacks.
"So what breed is he?" I asked suddenly curious
"How many breeds do you know of?" He asked in return
"A few I think" I answered thoughtfully.
Back home I have friends that were extreme dog lovers and a few uncles that own dogs.
"Um, I know Bull dogs, umm.. yeah, who doesn't know chihuahuas!?" I said looking at him and he laughed. "Right."
"I also know Rottweilers...that's another dog I'm scared of" I said, shivering a bit.
"Yeah, they really look scary don't they?" He said.
"Yes! Like, their black eyes staring at you as you're walking by is just not what I'll wish on my enemies" I said
"Ok, now you're just being dramatic. They won't harm you except they see you as a threat."
"Or if their hungry" I said looking pointedly at him. "Sometimes we humans forget that dogs are wild animals. The only difference between them and wolves is that they are easily tamed" I said
"You have a point, but I think a domestic dog won't harm anyone for no reason. Take Bam for example; he's very harmless. I think he thought you both were playing that's why he chased you"
"I guess so. Anyway, I know Spaniels, hounds, Shepherds—mostly german— I know Pomeranians cause my sister won't stop talking about them—i say that part rolling my eyes, making him laugh— then my ultimate favorite; Huskies. They are so cute and so wolfy it's fascinating" I said with childlike wonder
"Wow! That's a lot" he said genuinely amazed I felt proud of myself for being able to impress him
"Thank you" I said not knowing what else to say.
"Wow.... I didn't expect you to know that much. Have you owned one before?" He asks
"No. Though I have a lot of relatives that own dogs, my own family hasn't got one"
"Why?"
"I don't know... My mum isn't really a dog person and my dad didn't trust us enough to let us have one" I shrug and he nods in understanding.
He takes a sip of his drink reminding me of my own nearly cool drink. So I join him, almost drinking everything at once.
"Are you that thirsty?" He laughs and I nod embarrassed then I remember.
"Shouldn't you go for your interview?"
"Oh that... I've done mine already"
"Really? But I thought you guys will be interviewed after black pink?"
"Who told you that?" He asks confused
"Never mind" I didn't want to continue this conversation if it's going to be so awkward.
We stay silent again and it a little awkward. I try to think of the many things I had in mind to ask each member when I get the chance to meet them but unfortunately, my brain isn't cooperating.
"Can I ask you a question?" He nods
"How does it feel being the youngest in the group? Like, I know they don't ignore you or bully you. I'm just curious to know how you feel about it in general" I turn fully to him.
He stays quiet for a while and I stay quiet and let him think.
"I feel.. I felt really happy when I was accepted as a member of BTS. I was so young yet they accepted me and I was put among some very amazing people as my members" He says smiling
"It was scary at first. 'will I perform well?' 'will I be able to get along well with them?' Those were the thoughts that went through my head from time to time at the beginning."
"But as we moved on and performed together, I realized that my fears were baseless because they all love me."
"They all love you?" I ask, laughing
"Mmmm.... Our producers, dance teachers then fans and they too. It's still pressuring sometimes, especially when I'm asked to perform the important parts of a dance or hit a certain note" he says
"Hmmm I guess I'll feel that way too if I was put in the spotlight. I mean, I'm the elder sister in my family and there are so many young ones looking up to me and few older ones to look up to. So sometimes I can't help but imagine if I was younger, may be I won't have to be scared of making mistakes that will affect my younger ones"
I have just one elder brother at home and time is majorly spent at school, that's why it's usually just Steph, JJ and I.
"Well, you can't be the youngest forever" he says smiling at me.
"I used to be the youngest too, but now I too have young ones in the company that are watching me." He explains
"Oh, that doesn't encourage me at all"I roll my eyes making him laugh.
"Either way, I think having eyes on you helps to motivate you and make you work harder" he smiles
"Easy for you to say, you're the golden maknae, you do well in everything!" I scowl and he laughs again
"Not everything"
"But most things. Almost everything you do is perfect. For example, that pitch you did for 'ON', I initially thought Jimin was the one singing till I saw the video"
"Yeah, a lot of fans were surprised too, and it wasn't easy to learn"
"I'm sure" I say sarcastically
"Really, it was difficult for me"
"You've said that before" I laugh and he laughs for the third time in this conversation.
"You laugh a lot" He shakes his head
"You haven't even spoken with Jin or Jhope yet, they're so funny" he says
"Jin? I spoke with him two or three nights ago. He doesn't seem like the type that always laughs" I'm trying to think back to that night again
"You spoke with Jin before?" He asks surprised
"Yeah... Just once though and he was very tired that night... Maybe that's why he only smiled at my awkwardness that day" I shrug
"So being with Jin is awkward?" He asks with a sly smile
"What!? No. I haven't met him before so staying in the same longe with him was awkward, I've never been more clumsy in my life" I rub my face as I remember.
"So you don't feel awkward talking to me now?" He asks
"Hehe.. I'm talking to you with supreme level confidence right now" I say with confidence.
"Really?" He asks mid laughter
"Yeah"
"Ok then. We should head back before the others start looking for you" he says as he stands
"I'm not the celebrity here though" I mutter but I think he heard because he laughed again.
