"What's with the look?"
"Nothing. I just looked to see if you had a bruise. I thought my brother gave you an uppercut."
He smirked. "You're concerned now, huh."
"No. Assume it. Actually, I was dismayed." I looked back at what was being done.
He chuckled. "Pause for a while, Elena. Eat your fries first."
Hmm. That's a good idea. But I still have a lot to do so maybe later.
"Later. I need to finish the designs of my menu.
He shifted. I thought where was he going. I stared at him until he settled himself beside me. His left leg was folded vertically against the floor. The other was folded horizontally. One of his arms was resting there. My lips parted as I watched his manly little moves.
With us only inches apart, I smelled his manly perfume that made me dizzy. Not because it's too strong. But because it's invading my every nerve, awakening all of my senses.
