Chapter 49 - Becoming Stronger

As the day's exhaustive training concluded, he had made tremendous progress, alleviating a considerable burden from Alaya's shoulders. Free from all obligations, he succumbed to a deep slumber, snoring peacefully by midnight.

"Now, let's heal him," she mumbled.

In just a second, she recovered him from his fatigue and soreness, restoring him to perfect condition.

"I would love to interrogate him, but I will observe this guy for now. Since I want to know why is this guy so weird," Naya said, halting any thought of her wanting to question him.

She feared that he might be some sort of evil disaster, but something like that couldn't be said unless she had solid evidence. That's why she decided to observe him and find some solid proof to interrogate him with.

Soon, it was time for him to be woken up at 4 am, and by 5:30 am, he found himself in the training ground with Alaya.

The day unfolded much like the previous one, with morning lectures, various training segments, and a concluding spar. As the day came to an end, he retired straight to bed, embracing the need for rest after another rigorous day of training.

With each passing day, Alaya continued to delve into different aspects of training, guiding him through footwork, fencing, and various martial arts techniques. The practical application of these lessons during their sparring sessions allowed him to internalize and integrate these skills into his combat repertoire.

The Alaya circled Lloyd, demonstrating the intricacies of footwork with each deliberate step.

"Pay attention, Lloyd," She advised. "Your stance is the foundation. Step forward like this for an advance, and backward for a retreat. Maintain balance – a sturdy foundation grants control."

The Lloyd mirrored the movements, absorbing the lesson.

"Now, a pivot," Alaya continued, gracefully turning on her heel. "This allows you to shift direction swiftly. Your feet guide the dance of the blade, and with precise footwork, you command the rhythm of the fight."

Lloyd nodded, absorbing the wisdom shared through the language of Alaya's skilled footwork.

"Good footwork is like an illusion when used properly; it could entrap your enemy's mind into an abyss. When it's not good, it makes you look like a schizophrenic," she remarked, offering a touch of humor to her training wisdom.

After she finished teaching him about footwork, they moved on to the next segment.

"Alright, time to move on to the next segment. Today, we'll focus on enhancing your precision and control during swordplay," Alaya announced as they transitioned to the next phase of training.

After she said that, they wasted no time in further discussions, as actions always speak louder than words.

Lloyd and Alaya engaged in a spirited sparring session, blades clashing in a dance of skill. As the exchange intensified, the Alaya observed the Lloyd's footwork closely.

"Your balance falters in the advance," Alaya noted, gracefully evading a strike. "You lean too far forward. Remember, maintain a solid stance with your weight evenly distributed. A stable foundation is crucial for a strong offence and defence."

Lloyd absorbed the feedback, nodding in acknowledgement. They adjusted their stance and resumed the sparring, the Alaya offering continuous guidance.

"Good, you've corrected that," Alaya commended. "Now, focus on the timing of your retreat. Don't rush backwards; it leaves you vulnerable. Retreat with purpose, maintaining control over each step. Your footwork should be deliberate and calculated."

As the spar continued, Alaya pointed out nuances in Lloyd's footwork, providing insights into improving agility, speed, and overall combat effectiveness. Lloyd absorbed the lessons, gradually refining their movements under the watchful eye of the experienced mentor.

Under Alaya's rigorous training, he not only improved his physical strength but also honed his combat skills. In just a little over two months, his progress was evident, with his strength doubling. The prospect of reaching a 2-star aurar was on the horizon, and he aimed to get closer to a 3-star level before the Grand Selection Ceremony (GSC) arrived.

Alaya was pleased with his rapid progress, considering the substantial gap between him and his peers. His relentless training efforts were helping him bridge that divide swiftly.

'I would've done it regardless of whether she said it or not. I can do other things aside from just healing,' she whined, annoyed by the repetitive nature of the work assigned to her.

Naya expressed her discontent, feeling constrained by the limited tasks assigned to her.

As she ventured away from the estate, it was evident from her surroundings. Lush greenery surrounded her, with flourishing plants and trees in every direction. She found herself in a vibrant forest where wild animals roamed freely.

Naya grumbled while lying on a tree branch, seemingly dissatisfied with the tasks assigned to her by Alaya.

"All I've been doing for the past two months is healing, and it's getting incredibly frustrating. I'm capable of much more than just this," she expressed, emphasizing her annoyance.

Naya expressed her frustration, emphasizing her desire to engage in tasks beyond healing.

She wasn't angry or annoyed about being given work, but the repetition of the same task was wearing on her. She had spent all her time healing him, without any variation in her duties.

Naya's frustration stemmed from the repetitive nature of her tasks, primarily centered around healing, with little variety or change in responsibilities.

"Not only that, but I haven't been able to find a shred of suspicious stuff about him, no matter how much I observed and sneaked on him," she complained, throwing her tiny hands in a tantrum.

Naya's inability to uncover any suspicious activities or behaviors from Lloyd added to her frustration. She seemed determined to find something, yet her efforts had proven fruitless so far.

She had tried her best in the last two months to find evidence to prove her suspicion. She had stalked him 24x7, but there was nothing she could find about him. All of his activities indicated he was just a normal human being, not a chaotic spirit hiding until the right moment came.

Despite her persistent efforts, Naya couldn't find any evidence to support her suspicions about Lloyd. His actions seemed genuinely ordinary, leaving her unable to confirm any hidden agenda or chaotic spirit within him.

"Oh, look who it is! Welcome back to Misty Fae," a fairy greeted her familiarly.
