My eyes lingered longer than necessary on the vehicle as Eric and Mae left I couldn't believe my luck, my brother just took my mate and there's nothing I can do about it.
For her safety, I have to take it slow if my enemies find out about her being my mate then she would be seen as my weakness which she already is.
Lizzy came to stand by my side I felt terrible cause I knew how hard she tried to bring us together.
"I am leaving first thing tomorrow " she barely said ,her voice dreadful
"You know you don't have to" I said to her.
I really hoped she would change her mind even thoughh this isn't the first time she's done this.
For a while, a peaceful silence reigned, I love my sister and she means so much to me other than having such great powers she has always proven to be the strongest among us.
Minutes later she turned to leave I could sense she was about to start crying and she loathed to be caught doing that. So I turn to search her face trying to read her mood
Halting her steps I reckoned she wanted to say `she changed her mind ' but then;
"You know Eric is right you are a coward, I mean which Lyan lord will let his brother take his mate right in front of him"
I was beyond shocked how did she know ,I mean I tried my best to hide my vulnerability when I am with Mae. She didn't say anymore as she walked calmly to her room.
An hour later I am still standing there what Lizzy said gave me the vigor I needed, I have to get her back one way or another. Jedrek already went home so I am all alone.
Picking my car keys I headed for the carriage when Lizzy's maid ran past me with her stuff and tears on her face that only means she's serious this time I hope when I am back she's still here for a goodbye at least

Mae pov
We arrived at the hotel his friend booked for us three hours ago .
It was a spacious and magnificent room the bathroom was twice the size of our living room back at Scarborough with a cool jacuzz.the bed was a queens bed with a chandelier right above it.
Long story short it was the most beautiful thing ever.
After I and Eric had a long talk about how he is taking me with him and how he will take care of my aunt, followed with a steamy make-out sections I was finally alone in our room.
It's been one heck of an evening, a lot came to mind making me toss and turn I just couldn't sleep one issue that bugged me the most was how will Sarah treat me dose Eric plan on making me his second wife ? our stuffs were all packed so we could leave first thing at sunrise
When I realized I wouldn't be able to rest with that problem bugging me I decide to go find Eric he's been gone for too long.
Getting off the bed after taking just two steps I saw a figure first I wanted to panic but then I froze when I saw who's been there he was resting against the door and it looked as though he's been there for quite a while my brain first went to think how he got in without me knowing to why he's even here I Imagined I should be scared hello!!! My former boss who look like he can assassinate me was in a room with me.
that reminds me we have never been in a room alone. I tried looking for something I can use to defend myself even though a part of me knows he would never hurt me
".you know I would never hurt you" he said as he drew near .`how did he know I knew that? ' But still, I kept going back till my legs hit the bed, "ouch " I involuntary said for a minute I was distracted but when I looked up again Elliot was right in front of` god !! ' why does he have to be this good looking . perfect jawline and cheekbone the whole face was just perfectly chiseled and not to forget those eyes that go so well with the dark hair.
"If you are done let me know" Elliot said to bring me out of my fantasy.
"What do you mean" I said folding my arm pretending he didn't just catch me eye f**king him.
"What do you want anyway," I asked unconsciously moving closer to him I've always loved the way he smelled
"Mae you need to know Eric isn't good for you an..".
"Can't you just leave us alone I always believed you to be the smarter one but looks like you are only a sadist. Eric told me everything and from what I see you still haven't forgiven him "
I said to him not caring anymore after all he's no longer my boss when he didn't say anything for a while I turned my back on him I hated it when I see his love for me in those eyes.
"I don't know what he's told you...." he began again .
"but you have to believe me he is not good for you ..... "
"So you're the one that is..?". I cut him off again . but he didn't let me finish then Elliot, I mean Elliot my hot boss captured my lips with his.my brain was screaming "ooooh my good"😱
The kiss was like a feather and when he succeeded in shutting me up he wanted to say something when I kissed him back with all I've got while we kissed I felt different like I was in love with him for the longest time I felt this sudden urge to never let go.
Elliot was a more gentle kisser as we kissed I began to remember everything if for anything it was obvious he was taking advantage of me after the way he treated me I can't believe I am kissing him I immediately ended the kiss and pushed him away.
I heard a sad whimper from him before I could ask what was that about Elliot place a white cloth on my nose and I blacked out.
