Dario
I couldn't really sleep well during the day; Thalia and the girls' lives might depend on Vladimir's informants. That didn't fill me with a lot of confidence. So, after tossing and turning all day I decided to just get up and do something. After exercising and cleaning (not that there was much too clean) the sun finally set. Opening the heavy thick drapes I gazed out into the night hoping that Thalia and the girls were okay.
No sooner did the sunset or my tranquil home was invaded. One moment it was just me the next Vladimir was standing outside my door. Taking a deep breath to calm myself I went to let him in.
"Good evening, Prince Dario. Why, don't you look wide-eyed and bushy-tailed."
"Good evening, Vladimir I am really not in the mood for your jokes. Please tell me you came here specifically because you have some news."
"Well, I do have something. But whether it pans out to be anything I am not so sure. I talked with some people and they say that Lord Marcus had been plotting the demise of a certain fiery-haired Dhampir; almost as much as he is plotting to infiltrate the Monarchy just to overthrow your family of course. He wants two things apparently power and revenge for the death of his wife."
"Is that so? So, what we must find out is whether he has taken Thalia and the girls or not?"
"Well, I am way ahead of you. I have arranged to see Serafina about an hour from now. While I am there, I will do some poking around. See what I can find. If I find anything I will let you know. But best tell your father about what I said about Lord Marcus. It is best to be on your guard with people like him."
"Wait why the hell do you think I will let you go alone?"
But just like before in the blink of an eye he was gone. Damn it! Vladimir, you better come back. Deciding that screaming at thin air was a waste of time I left to go inform my father of what Vladimir had said.
Blood Rose Castle…
Skye
"Rose, Thalia has been gone for too long. What is that she-devil doing to her?"
"I don't know, and there doesn't seem to be a way out of here either."
All they could do was sit on the floor and wait to see if Thalia came back or if they two will be dragged out of the dungeon to a fate unknown.
Vladimir
As I arrived at Blood Rose Castle, I felt the foulness of the place. It radiated evil and darkness, not a place anyone would want to be held, prisoner. One of the servants opened the huge heavy oak door for me. As I was ushered inside the wickedness of the place made me feel sick. Luckily Serafina didn't take long to arrive as usual she was dressed to impress; she would have been a very beautiful Female if the saying true beauty comes from within wasn't true. Her awful personality really came through dimming her beauty making her so much less beautiful.
"Vladimir, this is a lovely surprise have you finally thought about my arrangement and proposal.?"
"I have thought of it. Is your father home?"
"No, Daddy is off somewhere in the human realm probably to find some idiotic human to bend to his will and do his bidding."
"Then shall we go somewhere more private? Perhaps have a drink?"
She smiled and gestured for me to follow. I followed her into a private sitting room and as a servant handed us both a glass of wine laced with blood she started drinking right away. I waited the moment the door shut behind the servant; I then cast a sleeping spell without Serafina noticing as her back was to me. Catching her before she could fall, I was relieved to see the glass she held was already empty. Laying her on the couch and making sure no one can enter the room, I cast a concealment spell on myself and went in search of Thalia and her friends. I figured they would be in the dungeon since dungeons are usually in the bottom part of castles, I went in search of its entrance. It didn't take me very long to find the entrance. Walking down the stairs I notice that in fact, the dungeon wasn't that far down in the castle's foundation. Meaning that with the windows I was walking past that if they were in cells, those cells would be filled with sunshine during the day. Vampires and the sun do not mix well. As I was walking, I heard a slight murmuring on the other side of a big old wooden door. To my left, there was another door a bit further along the corridor figuring it would be best to leave no stone unturned I checked the first door. As I walked through the smell of Jasmyn and cherry blossoms engulfed me, filling me with a peace I have never known before. Unfortunately, the lovely scent was stained by the scent of blood; lots of blood. As I lit one of the torches on the wall my heart stopped for a beat, on the floor in a cell was a human girl probably no older than twenty. She laid absolutely still her dark chocolate brown hair streamed around her head on the stone floor. Even though her face was pale and she was covered in blood it was plain to see she was beautiful. I never believed in love at first sight but looking at her I felt; that she was the one I was waiting for. The only one I would ever love. I couldn't leave her, so I removed the spell on the cell door and went in to pick her up. She was tiny and small and unconscious but it was clear that at least she was still alive. Carrying her out of the cell I went to the second door. As I stood in front of the door, I heard hushed voices whispering. Pushing the door open while still holding the unknown girl I walked in. As within the previous cell, there were no torches burning for light. Using magic again I lit the torches as the cell was illuminated, I notice it was far bigger, there was a pile of ash on the floor and scorch marks on the wall, it did not skip my notice. As I gazed from the ashes towards the two cells, I saw them; Thalia's friends they looked pale and weak as if they were being starved. But Thalia was nowhere to be seen.
"You two don't look so good. Will you both be able to walk on your own?"
"You're helping us? And what did you do to that poor human girl?"
"Ok, first: Where is Thalia? Second: Ouch! The accusation hurt. I know you all think of me as a cruel monster but I really am just misunderstood. Thirdly: I didn't do this to her I found her in a cell while looking for Thalia and the two of you. Now answer my question will you be able to walk and stand on your own?"
"We don't know. That she-devil came in and took Thalia away! She was weak from the effects of the 'Change" but also because she gave us some of her blood; because we were starving and I guess we would be able to stand on our own. Walking… that is something we are not sure about."
"Ok then get up. I will remove the spell on the cell door and get you all back to the palace prince Dario and the rest of them will be there. We will have to come back for Thalia. I don't have time to search for her now the sleeping spell I placed on Serafina won't last forever."
They looked like they didn't know if they should trust me, but seeing no other way out of here they decided to give me a little trust. But what they said about Thalia did not sit well with me and I am pretty sure prince dark and charming will go absolutely crazy when he hears it. Removing the spell and opening the door by giving it a slight kick they struggled up clearly, they were stiff and weak. I suppose they had to huddle into the far corner all day to avoid the scorching sun that would no doubt fill the cell during the day.
"Ok grab onto my shoulders. One on each side and for the love of everything that is holy don't let go. If you get lost while I teleport it will be an absolute pain to find you again."
The one called Rose looked at me and gave a slight bow of her head before saying:
"Thank you for helping us."
The other one, Skye, after giving me a hard stare to access my intentions. She too gave a slight bow of her head and said Thank you. They grabbed hold of my shoulders and I could feel just how weak they were, there was almost no strength in their holds. No sooner did they take hold or I teleported all four of us out of the dungeon and back to the Kings Study as I figured they would all probably be there…
