Hi my name is Luna Echo and I'm 17 turning 18 my birthday is in 3 weeks. When a wolf turns 18 that's when they find their mate, the only person in the whole world who is meant for you. I woke up this morning to find that I was awfully tired as I rolled out of bed. I get ready in my school uniform. I tug on the hem of my skirt, It is way too short in my opinion. I look at the door to see my brother Noah, Noah is my younger brother. I have 2 brothers and 1 twin brother, 1 twin sister and a little sister who is 3 year old. I have one older, one younger and my twin Liam, my older brother Aiden is 21 then we have my sweet little sister Ava who's 6 and Emma is my twin along with Liam we share the same birthday but celebrate it on 3 different days.
Noah stands there arms crossed as he looks over to me I question
"Is Oliver here?"
He nods and I sigh. Oliver is Aidens best friend and also our alpha, Aiden is our beta. Oliver is so sweet it is honestly shocking to believe that he does not have a mate yet or a lunar, I skip downstairs to see all my friends well my only 2 friends. Their names are Cara and Sylvie, Sylvie is Aidan's mate but she is only 18 yet Aiden is 21. I said
"Hey girls, how are you"
They just said
"Hi Luna"
I see Oliver or as I like to call him Oli or MeerKat I said
"Hey Oli, how are you?"
He just nods in my direction as I take my seat at the kitchen island as I stare down at the biggest stack of pancakes I have ever seen. I thank my mother as I look down at my phone under the bench I jump up from my seat
"We're late!"
I sprint out the door. while my friends trail close behind me then we arrive at campus we leave to our first period I sit at my desk smiling to myself we arrived just in time the bell rang and I sit straight the teacher babbles on about basic algebra when I hear Oli's voice he said
"Hurry up and pay attention"
As he closes our mind link, I smile to myself. What is he talking about? Mr. Fae just said... Uh I- um I have no idea I start paying attention and then the bell rings, sweet relief, about 5 classes later It's lunch. YAY! Sylvie and Cara were having a chat when Sylvie started blushing. I know my brother is mind linking with her I say
" Hey my babies, how was class?"
"Hey Luna, me and Cara were just talking about... Uhhh what do you want April?"
I turn around to see my annoying second cousin standing behind me. I simply start walking away as my friends do the same.
The next 3 weeks go by in a blur and so do all the rest of the days until it is 1 day before I turn 18. I wake up the next morning and I am greeted to the sight of my brother standing in the door frame
"What do you want Liam?"
I then see a little girl clinging to the back of his leg and I realize it is my little sister I pat the spot next to me on the side of the bed I say
"Hey my little angel, how are you Ava?"
"Your birthday is tomorrow right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"What do you want?"
"Uh nothing stop avoiding questions Ava"
"Can you make me breakfast? Liam can't cook to live, Aiden is with Oli that douche head and we all know that Noah is either playing video games or sleeping. When you play you at least make 15 minutes for us to play so will you make me breakfast please?"
"Fine fine fine just stop digging your knees into my thigh,"
I slowly fumble out of my bed and grab the door frame for support. I see Oli and Aiden sitting at the table. I shake my head and start cooking 20 minutes later I finally finish Avas pancakes she likes them with extra whip cream and a cherry on top with a tiny side of vanilla ice cream, I hand Oli his crêpe with berries and I hand Aiden scrambled fluffy eggs I just make myself a piece of toast with garlic butter on top. I start feeling dizzy and fall backwards. I then feel Oli holding me and carrying me up the stairs. I can hear my little sister frantically screaming at Oli to 'not hurt me'. Aiden was calling our parents and a hospital. I woke up at the hospital and to my surprise almost an hour had gone by I looked around to see Ava was passed out on the chair and Oli had his head down on the bed they were both sleeping so I woke up Oli
"Oli Oli get up please"
"Huh? Luna oh your birthday is tomorrow I'll go tell your brothers your awake"
He got up to leave as I stand up and get of the bed I take a closer look at my sleeping sister she has tears running down her face as I slowly put my arms around her
"Sis? Sis! You're awake! I... can't believe you fainted! I am so sorry you must be so overworked"
She started to pout as I hugged her tighter. My brothers walked in as I felt arms around me Liam was crying as he hugged me saying
"Luna how dare you faint on me! Do you know how scared we were! Aiden was balling his eyes out, Noah was stress eating and I was pacing back and forwards and Oli was by your side the whole time he wouldn't let anybody touch you! Oh yeah and Maddys here!"
Maddy was Olis older sister and my bestfriend she is 25 and always used to babysit us when she was 14 or older.
"Do you know how scared I was! I thought I would never see you again promise me to never do that again"
"I promise Maddy"
"When are you getting discharged?"
I see the doctor waiting in the doorway
"Miss Echo will be getting discharged right now in a matter of fact"
We checked out of the hospital as I get in Olis car I sit in the front and ask
"Can we get starbucks please?"
"No as if I'm letting you get caffeine after that psh"
We sat in silence the rest of the car ride as I stepped out of the car I could see him drive away leaving me in the distance I walked into the house as my little sister pulls and pushes me towards the stairs I walk with her and I end up at my bed I lie down as my sister tucks me in I thank her and fall asleep.
