Afterwards, he kept muttering under his breath and headed for the kitchen's counter with heavy steps, like a soldier on parade. 

Rain was abruptly stunned, but not as Lucas was. The man was bewildered. Had Rudolf completely lost his mind?

"Rudolf! You..." Lucas was going to say something but then Rain signalled him to not to. She didn't take it to heart at all, after all it was only until midnight and she'll be gone. It was only quite surprising that the Rudolf who was always eager to please, would ought out suddenly like this. The morning had to be going worse for him.

At last, Lucas humphed and said nothing. He held back his anger with great constraint, and knowing he might still not be able to stand it anymore, directly walked out of the kitchen.

Rain didn't bother for the grumpy Rudolf either. She stared blankly at the kitchen's pantry as though she knew what she would do with the ingredients stored inside.
