I was raging inside, so much, too much. Yet, I was about to break. The eyes she looked me with, so full of hope, so determined, they sparkled still. And I wanted to fight too, but that sparkle, the blush on her cheeks, the whole her, I just couldn't bare to lose her. I couldn't even think that, imagine my life without her.
But I wouldn't lie, that hope and determination, the fire in her gaze wanted me to give in so bad. But this fear of losing her forever was dominant still. Adding to that, there was no way she was going to fight against Gods of prophecy when I tell her the things they do when you disobey them.
"Good. Let's see," I uttered, stepping back and peeling my t-shirt off. The rain embraced me, tracing the lines of my sculpted chest with cold droplets. The physical act of baring myself to the storm mirrored the vulnerability I felt in that moment.
